A few things completed (thank you everyone)
I have completed a few of the projects that I have been working on and wanted to share the outcome with everyone that participated. I am learning quite a bit from this forum. I want to thank everybody that has participated on each of my threads and help me complete my projects. great input and information. I am learning a great deal from the artists on this site.
The first is a sphere with a gold thread that I have been working on. I am quite pleased with the outcome of it.
One of my most recent is the metallic rings. It is an ongoing project that I believe is in its final stage.
The third is my rendition of this month's tutorial. I really enjoyed this one.
Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
Were the rings done from a tutorial? They look like something that Xhris posted recently and I know he does tutorials too.
The subtle reflection on the MP3 player is good, but it would not reflect the same on the beveled sides of the player. You might split the image and skew the portions on the bevels.

Hi Psaumure.
Your picture of the logo is FANTASTIC.
A Great Job.
Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
Hello Psaumure, those look great, well done. I really like the image in the Pod :D
Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
Yes gwpriester, I agree. I can see this iPod will be going in for a facelift. Did anyone else do the tutorial? I love to see what others are doing. It gives me inspiration and causes me to stretch in my own work.
Thank you Rik. I do appreciate the feedback. The logo came out better than I anticipated. I think it makes a wonderful avatar. This is one piece of artwork I can show with pride. I am planning on using it as my personal logo.
Thank you ontos. Again, I appreciate the feedback.

Thank you for the link to the iPod tutorial neodeist. I enjoyed all the different renditions that everyone posted. I posted a few of the iPods that I was working on. What a great tutorial. I learned a lot. I was surprised the thread was in the talk graphics. I figured it would be in the art gallery. I'm learning. Thanks again for the link.
Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
No problem :) Gary usually posts the tutorial links in two places. With all the different areas now I tend to just keep an eye on "New Posts" :D

Thank you Black Panther. I'm particularly honored to get this kind of feedback from you. I love your artwork and your attention to detail. Congratulations on getting into Xara's art gallery. From the artwork that I've reviewed, you earned it. Keep up the great work!

Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
Thank you BP. I appreciate all the help that I can get. This forum has been a tremendous asset and everybody has been so helpful. I have been doing many tutorials throughout the site but one of my main ambitions is to learn how to draw portraits and cars using Xara extreme. I came across this picture that was done using vector graphics. I'm not sure who the artist is or what program it was done in. But this is the type of drawing I'm interested in doing.
moderator edit: Please do not attach images belonging to other artists without their permission.
The image of Jessica Alba belongs to Ruslan Khasanov
Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
This is great portrait paul, i did search in google and found the image and the artist, who drew this image.
He is an artist from Russia, but i think he used Illustrator and the Gradient mesh in Illustrator.
Here is the link:

But you, and Xtreme users and i too, we can draw like this in Xtreme without using the Gradient mesh tool.

Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
With all the sample artwork that I've seen done in Xara, I agree with you 100% I am only interested in using Xara for my artwork. The sphere that I've been working on was created in a 3-D program and I was told that I would not be able to duplicate it in Xara. That's one of the reasons that I'm using it as my avatar. With a little imagination anything is possible using this program. Thank you for the links, they are very informative.
Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
Have you seen the work of Valery Kouleshov Paul? Pure Xara [plus a lot of sheer talent!] as far as I know :)
Re: A few things completed (thank you everyone)
I agrre with you Paul, we can draw evry thing in Xtreme. I have Illustrator, CD and freehand but I donīt like to use them now. after starting to deaw with Xtreme.
I agree to with John, Valleryswork in Xara Xtreme is outstandig.
