It looks like Webstyle 4 doesn't work with Windows 7. Is anyone else having the same problem. I tried to edit a nav bar I made and it won't let me do it..

Did you install/run WS in XP compatibility mode?
Also, please see this.
I have Windows 7 Home Premium and it's telling me I have to upgrade to the Pro version in order to run in XP mode. That's another $200. That's just not right!!!
Thank you for the info though. I guess I will just have to figure something else out.

I'm still running the Windows 7 RC. Is compatability not supported in the release versions of Windows 7?
XP Mode is only available in Pro and Ultimate.
XP compatibility is different to XP mode.
The RC was W7 Ultimate
That is going to put off a lot of people. :(
I looked at all the new computers at the local stores and they are preloaded with Home Premium.
I tried the "Home" version of Vista when it came out and upgraded to Ultimate as soon as I had the money to do so. However; in Vista Home Premium you could still right click >> Properties and select Run in Campatibility, and select from previous versions of Windows.
XP compatibility is different to XP mode.
XP mode is their new 'seamless' virtual PC.
That is what I read, simply XP being run in a Virtual PC. Both Virtual PC and XP must be downloaded. Windows 7 Professional and/or Ultimate are required to run Virtual PC.
So Judy should be able to run Webstyle installer in XP compatability for it to complete just as I did with the RC version.
How do we run XP Compatibility? Is that something within Webstyle?
Right click the webstyle shortcut icon and select the Compatibility tab.
You should be able to follow it from there (and the screen shot below, ignore the fact that the image shows FileZilla, not my screenshot ;) )
Judy put your webstyle CD into the drive. When Windows 7 asks if you want to run RunCD.exe or Open Folder to view files. Select Open Folder. Right Click RunCD.exe and select Properties from the pop up menu.
Select the Compatibility Tab and select Run this program in compatibility mode for:
See attached image.
Now isn't this just dandy. My DVD drive just died....
Thank you for your help. I will do what you said if I get this thing to work. This just hasn't been a real good day..
Well, I was able to get the player to work, I did what you said but when I tried to edit from Dreamweaver I can bring up the project but can't do any editing. The buttons are all grayed out, for text, menu's, background, etc.
I will now try to do one from scratch and see what happens.
