I uploaded the jpg for pepole who still not use XARA
Actually very good, well done.
Only two things bother me, the eyes and the xara tiled background.
Here I send th original picture, regarding eyes I couldn't get a better result, may seeing de picture you can send me some tips.
Thank you very much for your comments.
Rather than creating an exact copy of the photo in Xara Xtreme, I think what I might do is to find an additional photo where the eyes are not so dark and which show more detail then draw & use those (eyes) in my first drawing.
I agree sledger, good tip
There have been one or two excellent tutuorials in the http://www.xaraxone.com/ on drawing eyes. I think they were guest tutorials. I am too tired and lazy to look for them at the moment. Maybe somebody, smarted, kinder and with more energy can get you a little closer.

maybe this is the link John is talking about
if you look on the web there are some good tutorials but most are for photoshop
greetings nice work
How about brightening the image a little bit.
I kept on fighting with eyes, I made a second attempt and publish it in:

Thanks for all comments, they encourage me to improve
Have you checked out the xara artist examples in the clipart gallery under the xara examples 1 and 2? The Tchaikovsky and Mina Moiseev files to be particuliar? Excellent work there, and you can take them all apart to see how they where built. Great for picking up a technique or two if you are trying to achieve photorealism.
You know Mauricio (my son) is encorage me to draw the orchestra director drew by Valery.
I don't know may be same day IŽll dare to do it.
I tried to do a few photorealistic drawings a couple years ago. They came out nice, but not in the same league as anything Valery has done.
My fair Lady
Hello guys.
Thanks for your opinion about my works. In spite of I like photorealistic manner, I often use much more simple drawings in minimalism stile. More important for me is layout (composition) where colors, shapes ant its combinations play together lovely melody (depend from context). I support an idea that it is fine picture when you can`t remove anything else.
Sometimes I do graphic cellulite pictures, but only when details are very important for me ))))))) .
My salute to Mauricio )))))))
Thanks for your comments Valery, you are the Maurcio's idol in graphics and your regards will be well receive for him.
I totally agree with the idea formulated by you, On the next drawing I'll try to remove all the unnecessary things and see what happend .
Today I made a refresh to mauricio's eyes.
Thanks in advance for comments
Very nice Javier , those eyes look much better.
Thank you very much, you are very kind.
It is a learning process and now things are easier than before.
Un abrazo
A very handsome and talented young lad. You must be very proud of him :)
