That's a lovely wispy image Egg :) A chiffon effect perhaps?
whimsical and ethereal!
Remember me the jellyfish. :D
Excellent arrange of the elements.
Great work!

fantastic
reminds me jellyfish a bit (geez capellan wrote the same ;) )
Like the drawing Egg, love the translucent effect. It reminds me of the Adobe CS3 illustrations and icons for some of their packages. How did you get that effect? was it the blend tool to get the ribbons?
Thanks all. Yes Albacore, the shapes start out as blends with an "s" type position profile. Then I clone and move, convert line to shapes and apply a linear fill and finally add a transparency. I've used about 5 or 6 blends and then altered the shape using the mould tool. I attach the xar file should anyone wish to pull it apart.
Well that was a bit of fun !
I looked into your file and saw the use of the "S" shaped positioning for the blend distribution.
Nice effect.
WOW! Looks even cooler with black background :D But then, I like black backgrounds :cool:
Very cool Egg! I'm going to study the file and learn from it.
Very truly yours,
Larry :D
Great effects Egg. I haven't ever really played around with profiles or attributes in any of the tools.

The leaf shapes at the end of the wisps are very elegant and genuinely give the impression of waving gently in a breeze or perhaps thats just the after effects of a pint or two at lunch time.

Thanks for the file Egg - nice to see how such pretty effects are done:)
Thanks again all for your comments. I used this image (this time with a black background which is my favourite too when it comes to transparencies) for an example swf file. Mouse over the thumbnail to view a a zoomed version;
