Could be useful. Pity XX/P cannot open SVG and ODJ (OpenOffice). The other formats are all raster by the looks.
Thanks for linking Tao
Quick test saving as svg and using inkscape/pdf to load into XXP :)
Thanks Tao
Yes I tried the svg -> Inkscape -> PDF route earlier, but wasn't a great result with Canon dSLR clipart
lot of difference between the [stable]0.45 inkscape and the [development]0.46 current build [cairo pdf] ;)
Yep - 0.46 has done a much better job for sure. Still a little difference, but not difficult to correct.
I don't have that portable version of I.S though. Would you have the direct link handy?
sure Steve - sorry - here:
http://inkscape.modevia.com/win32/?M=D
if you dont have it you will need the zip manager to unzip:
http://www.7-zip.org/
:)
the f ile in question is http://inkscape.modevia.com/win32/Inkscape0801101910.7z
Many thanks Steve..
Also, I have WinRar installed, so no need for 7zip :)
pleasure - whilst you have the 046 - I'd suggest checking out the vector bucketfill tool - try filling bitmaps with vectors - very nice.
the tweak and stroke to path tools, whilst still a bit raw, are very promising too...
046 is in chill - should be a stable release befor too long.
:)

Remi
Err, but the cliparts on the clker.com-website comes from OpenClipart!
Is clker.com another "great" website with ads who tries to "use" content from other pages?
I know one of the authors of these drawings and I will ask him, if he knows, that his work is on this website together with Google Ads.
Remi
didn't see any Google ads - but then my ffox is set to filter all that stuff out by default
if this is so Remi then thanks for pointing it out :)
I've talked with one of the authors. He didn't authorised clker.com to publish his Cliparts on their website. He has posted his work at openclipart.org and not clker.com. Unfortunately, the cliparts from openclipart.org are public domain. But it's not a nice way to publish the work from openclipart.org together with GoogleAds on a own website.
Remi
Well caught Remi.
A quick Whois query shows some information of interest:
Mohamed Ibrahim of Germantown, MD is the registrant of clker.com who's home site appears to be another site feeding from a database of another site
TUCOWS Inc is a sponsoring registrant of OpenClipart, though no ads appear on OC website.
OpenClipart is hosted by http://osuosl.org/ (Open Source Lab) where Google inc are amongst their sponsors (Others are TDS, Real, Splunk & Intel).
I guess everyone needs to make some money somehow.
If you a Google search for Free Clipart I suspect you will find a lot. Many clip art sites offer some free samples and others are just public domain sites.
