Crap driving Ron ;)
If you want to smooth out the drive (Pass your test?) try the attached file.
Eek he's driving on the wrong side of the road... ;-)
[LOL - I meant Rons version!]
Paul,
We're going to change over at the start of next year. From January the first all cars will now drive on the right. Coaches, buses and lorries will follow suit a week later.
What happened to the reflections and chrome Ron?
Although we Brits seem to have a monopoly on these cheap road systems called roundabouts, nobody drives as smooth as that in the UK Egg. :D
Egg the first week of January should prove very interesting. And increase everyone's adrenaline levels with cars on one side and lorries on the other
Eric,
Don't worry, I've corrected your animation.:p But seriously, how were you able to make it run so smoothly, I can't figure it out?
ron
That's strange Egg.
How are you going to put the steering wheel on the correct side also?:D
Im slow tonight... it took me three reads to get that one!!!! :D
All those circles remind me of all the rotories on the highways in my area.... Once you get on them, it's like you just entered an un-official smash-up derby!!!!
One we have nearby, especially... as I believe whomever painted all the lines there was drop-dead-drunk at the time.... and the local police love to sit by and watch the show
Man, why did I opt for those foreign cheap cars ;)
To save further confusion, cyclists will be required to cycle along the centre line throughout January.
Just place your can inside a circle, give the circle no fill and no line colour, group and make a named object. then rotate 90 degrees at a time.Quote:
But seriously, how were you able to make it run so smoothly, I can't figure it out?
Here's an example with the circle visible ~ the circle is bigger than this but I've reduced it's size to post.
Ron, or Egg....
Perhaps one of you could demonstrate for us, the "changing lanes" results (during the week prior to all the lorries and buses changing??) :D
Cyclists may be included into the scenario if deemed neccessary for full effect ;)
You can use this (enclosing shapes within a circle) to get some good effects. Notice the shadow remains true.
Neat trick Egg,
Although on that path, I don't think he'll find any eggs apart from you.! :D
PS Sorry I see that it was supposed to be a snake, I mistook it for something younger.
Salaam,
In the name gallery it's not called "snake" either. Thought I'd better change the name for posting on TG :D
Hi Jaysin, that's correct you can't use a drop shadow on text and tween it so you need to "cheat".
1: Create your button text
2: Copy to Clipboard
3: Select the Text
4: Apply a shadow
5: Arrange / Convert to Editable shapes
6: Ungroup
7: Deselect All
8: Select the text and delete
9: Select the remaining shadow and Name it
10: Ctrl+Shift+V to paste a copy of the text in the exact position as before
11: Select the text and name it.
Duplicate that Frame
Go to original frame, select both the Text & Shadow and scale down as required.
Export swf
You get an error message:
but it can be ignored, it works.Quote:
The following cannot be exported:
Frame 2: Single tile bitmap transparency.
Thanks a bunch! You'll see many more questions from me around these parts I'm sure. :D
This was made without adding a bounding circle and with movements of 180°. i.e. I used the [rotate] command.
Great animation Anas. Here's another using the same technique.
The xar is less complicated, just the origins of the rotation
Nice one Egg,
You've managed to keep it stable as well.
Anas
Very clever solution Anas.
Egg that is amazing.
Cheers Bill but I was just following Anas's example. Working a lot in Flash I often find it difficult to think in "XX Flash" but it can be fun once a member jogs your memory of how to do it in XXQuote:

Here's another using Anas's technique.
