Hi nasgue,
The linewidth dropdown list in Pro tries to be smart and offer a range of pixel linewidths instead of point linewidths when the document is set to show measurements in pixels. The default linewidth is still 0.5pt in real world units but that converts to the rather unfriendly value of 0.67pixels.
If you change your document units to be anything other than pixels you'll get the pointsizes back in the line width dropdown.
I can't immediately explain your object measurements changing, though. Can you post a sample file to this thread so that we can have a look?

here's a sample
Hi nasgue,
Thanks for the sample file. The screenshots show what your problem is.
The very large scrollbar width you've got set in your windows desktop is causing the linewidth dropdown edit box to be truncated so that you only see the text "0.67p".
If you put the caret in that field and move it to the right you'll see that the full text is "0.67pix", not "0.67pt" as you imagine it to be.
As I said before 0.67 pixels is the same width as 0.5pt so there's been no change to the linewidths that Pro sets or to the linewidths in your drawing - they're just being reported in pixel units instead of points.
Your 12*13 pix rectangle is still 12*13 pix, so no problem there.
I can't duplicate the flickering of the linewidth field that you see when typing but I know there have been bug-fixes in that area so please make sure you've got the latest version of Pro. If you still see flickering in that version then let us know.

:D Cool, i understand. It seems that even though I used to set the page units to pixels, the "set line width" drop down at the top of the would still reflect the pt size instead of the pix size. That then is my issue. Why don't the "width and height selection" tool and the "set line width" tool display pix and pt independently anymore?
You can get the old behaviour back by changing a registry entry:
Make sure Pro is not running the run regedit and navigate down to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\XaraXtremePro\Opti ons\Preferences
Then change the "ForceLineWidthPts" value to be 1 instead of 0.
When you restart Pro your linewidth dropdown will use Points no matter what the document units are, just like before.

An easier way to set the relevant registry entry is to just double-click this .reg (inside the attached zip, since the forum software doesn't allow direct upload of .reg files).

:D
THANKS PHIL!!!!!!!! That's what I was looking for. I changed the registry and it worked like a champ. why was that changed anyway?
Someone thought it was a good idea. :)
It's hard to stump those developers :)

it sure is. thanks again for the help!:)
