[...and I used layers for the first time!]
definately very sharp if I may say, even without the the point
did that chrome tutorial you were waiting for become available?
Drifter, I've found that Xtreme's layers function are more versatile than I first thot
nance
The texture of the rubber is v. good. How, please?
Anything else I have to say would also be pointless ...
Thank you both. I too have JUST NOW found out how great layers are. [I was afraid of them before!]
Eraser texture is this with transparency:
Bob,
Great job on the eraser texture!
ron
Well done again Bob. Again, I was the first to download meaning I was the first to destroy....opps, sorry, examine it. Unfortunatly I can't seen to put it back together so I guess you'll just have to do it again.....regards.......frank
Thanks Ron and Frank. Twidder, no, still waiting for the tutorial to appear in this forum.
There is something funny with the ellipese for the eraser, Bob. The shading and metallic quality are terrific but the ellipses look more square than round.
Or was that the point?
Gary
Seriously? Or are you joking? If you're serious, I'm not sure which ellipse looks square. Could you show me?
Oops! Slap me, please. Never mind... I get it! Very good, btw.
[and thanks for the rest!!!]
Bob,
I think that the "square" end is very natural. All these pencils I had as a kid started off with a round rubber (eraser) but ended up twisted and gnarled, just like yours.
Mind you, pencils with rubbers ... luxury.
(I'm not sure how this post will read across the Atlantic!)
I like it so much. I am glad you start to use layers. And I`d like to add to your piggy bank one more trick.
Egg, it read just fine over here... :D
Valery - that is GREAT!!!!!!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!! I don't understand one thing, however. How were you able to edit the repeating fill's position? In other words, how did you get the white closer on one side and farther on the other? I only see a profile adjuster that changes the shading (?) but there is no other adjuster to move the bars.
Gotta tell ya - I have struggled with this angular shading for quite and while and tried different ways, but this technique of yours is GREAT!!!!!
Thank you both for the kind words.
Drifter - have a look at this.
Move the nodes around - add and delete nodes, change fill angle.
Have a play.
I'm going for a coffee ...
Aye yi yi!!!!!!!!!! How stupid am I?! Of course! He didn't edit the profile; he added more! Thanks, Intbel, I just didn't think of that, although I use it all the time. SHEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hell, I do it all the time.
I ask someone how they do something, then realise 'tis something I do regularly but hadn't considered applying that technique to that particular task. Then feel a right idiot.
Six fill options here ... numer of options available? No-one knows ...
Ah - my misunderstanding.
;)
sorry, but this has confused me more than ever!!!!!
i can't see how you are doing a blend - i opened your .xar file, saw a blend - but could do nothing with it
what is it? a blend of lines?????
I really don't know what this talk is about blends - and there IS a blend in Val's work - but I DID learn a TON of stuff from this so far... like this:
Confused I am also.
Just forfun -ungroup one of those blends, select all the lines and arrange: align centre :)
Yikers!
