White lines?
Sorry about the title but I can't think of another way to describe the problem.
In the attached xar file is an L shaped graphic made up of squares. If I view it at 500% it looks perfect but at 100% there are lines between the groups of squares.
Is it my screen or am I as usual missing something?
thanks

Re: White lines?
Yes, there are white lines.
If you export this image as PNG with 300 dpi, they are clearly visible.

Re: White lines?
??
I see white lines at 100 percent. Not sure which white lines you are talking about or which squares. All of the colored squares have white lines between them I suppose because of the grid snapping.

Ian
There are white filled rectangles between the coloured squares. See the screen Grab below. I've changed the background to Grey and pulled the shape apart a bit.

Re: White lines?
Hi
thanks for the replies, it gets a bit more weird. My message was rather indescriptive, the graphic is made up of squares with white rectangles between.
When I moved two groups of three squares together when they abuted at 100% I saw a perhaps .5 pixel line between the joined rectangles. In the attached jpeg imagine a vertical thin line showing between each set of three vertical blocks. Change the magnification to 500% and the lines dissapeared.
However just returned to the PC opened the xar file and the lines no longer show.
Strange?
cheers

It's done it again! Has to be something to do with my screen?

Re: White lines?
Hi Ian,
I think you're seeing the anti-aliasing along the edges of the rectangles. Try turning the view quality down to "Normal" (i.e. turn off anti-aliasing) and the white lines go away.

Re: White lines?
I can only see those lines if I boost the zoom up to 2000%, and then only lightly.
But I then set the view quality to "Normal", as Phil suggested, and the lines disappeared.

Re: White lines?
thanks one and all, all I now have to do is to look up how to set it to normal

Re: White lines?
On the menu bar, go to Window > Quality > click on Normal

Re: White lines?
I faced the same problem with white lines . Now it is corrected
Follow these steps
1. Export as PNG and not JPEG.
2. Use File-> New-> Blank Photo ( or use 10 pix and 10 division in options)
3. Goto windows-> Quality-> Full color ( 5.0 )
4. Use a grid line to align the images . Keep all pixel values rounded ( 10, 12, 20 etc. and not 12.7)
5. Minimize visible anti-aliasing radio button on.
6. Export at 96 dpi to maintain your pixel setting.
7 I think problem is solved ( mine did).
Experts please correct me if I have missed some setting.
See the difference when I repeated a 10pix * 220 pix as background before and after
Best regards,
Ashvini
