:o that's better
Very nice, simple yet complete. I love it! Good job!!!
Hi,
I used Xara to design my blog. Attached you see the Mustseeblog's very first draft. On http://www.mustseeblog.com you find the final CSS implementation which looks more reduced due to several limitations (i.e. PNG opacity limitations on IE).
Xara was extremely helpful both in designing the first drafts and in creating the CSS design.
I'd be happy about feedback.

I'm working on this for my niece who turns 60 in 2 weeks.
I borrowed Bob Hahn's Flintstone eyes, Christine Farrley's lace and someone elses pearls, + other things I had previously used.
The Cameo I just did today, not good enough for close inspection but works well, I think, for something like this.
Judi
A 3D cartoon that seems like I've been working on forever. About to model the guy in the overalls in 3D space. Have the image planes up and tweaky there and tweaky here... Well, you know if you do 3D modeling. :)
Judi, nice picture but she looks older than my wife and she is 80 years old.
.Norman
Judy, great picture. She looks beautiful! (I'm a little concerned about her see-thru top... hahahahahahahahahahahaha)
James - looking great! Looking forward to the finished product.
Oh wait... Judi is how you spell your name. My sister Judi spells her name the same way. Cool!!!
Trust you Bob to notice that,I never got past the grey hair and her eyes.Quote:

re: the old lady looking too old. I intended to make her look much older than 60. Maybe my sense of humor over stepped what someone else would think as funny:confused:
The thought behind it was the now popular "Red Hat Society" based on the poem that goes, when I'm an old lady I'm going to wear a red hat and a purple dress.... the jest of it is she is now going to do what she wants without worrying what everyone else "thinks" she should do.
Penny, Oh please do a cameo and post it.

Okay, here some doodlings.
Oh yeah, all drawings made under the influence of hayfever
which isn`t a fever, but a human inbuild "squint" option plug-in. ;o)
Excellent drawings! Where might one find this plugin???
Hayfever? Man you don`t want it.Quote:

It makes you look at the picture in squintmode which
I am forceably doing now, because of the hayfever ;)
hahahahahaha, oh, i get it.... thanks
Doing a draft for a client who wants a jungle theme Flash site. Not the way I'd draw it if I was producing it just in XaraXtreme but a compromise between Xara and Flash.
The attached image is 100Kb (due to predominantly green overall tone not being a good candidate for compression I suppose) against the 36Kb Flash vector version.
But now I can add animated monsters of the Jungle!
I need a jungle like that Egg for my next picture so beautifully drawn, i wouldn't of course use it but it has given me some ideas. thanks.
Thanks Norman
I attach the basic construction set for building a jungle in Flash (open the layers gallery). It lacks the variety of a Xara drawing as well as the possible use of some Xara tools, but is ideal for creating fundamental 'Build your own Jungle' ,small file, construction kit.
Please feel free to use or disregard it as you wish.
Thank you Egg, I opened your attached file in Xara but the individual objects cannot be moved or copied it seems to be a bitmap file I think.I believe it was your intention that the object could be copied. Mind you with patience and attention to the detail in your original picture I should be able to draw my own. By the way your locomotives etc on another thread are something else, were they drawn with Xara or a mixture of techniques from other programs they are perfect.
........Norman.
Norman
You need to open the Layer Manager and unlock the layers.
Dave
Norman
Each one is on a seperate layer. Open the layers gallery and click on the editable tick box for the layer you want to use. Sorry about that, I just left all the layers uneditable
Thank you Egg, I learn something new every day..

Egg, that jungle is beautiful! I love the perspective of depth.
Egg,
WOW! A lot of work. Great illustration.

Working on a builders web site. Here's a patio image. As always for use in Flash.
Well, no fever or hayfever anymore, thanks to medical science and
some great working med`s.
I should have gone out in this nice weather, but I didn`t.
My brother has a friend who is japanese and has a shop.
Saw his logo, didn`t think of it much, so I decided to do something about it,
(he doesn`t know it yet ;o) ).
He specialises in japanese trinkets and flowers.
So I think, japan, geisha`s (yes just saw that movie about a geisha
that is in the theatres now, pretty good movie), So I came up with this
(also remembered somebody mentioning negativ spaces
etc. was good for logo`s so I did that too )
Hope to hear some comments.
okay after some playing around.
Please try to keep images to 500-650 pixles. Large images take up a lot of bandwidth and make the thread load slowly for members with slower connections. :o :o :o
Judi - You can use my description. We are now part of the "newly old" generation. :)
Derek - Get her the car! Life is short, you know.
Attached is a new stereogram I am working on. It is not finished but I am getting ready for the Placitas Studio Tour next weekend and have not had a lot of time to "play". There is no hidden image except to give depth to the background and the coils. The lens flair highlight covers an unfortunate seam where the 2 halfs of the coils join.

Yeah my bad, I had a edited version, made smaller, but when choosingQuote:

You know, I thought that image looked disturbing and I couldn't work out why. And then I remembered the episode of "Father Ted" I saw the other day and it suddenly clicked:
Okay, I can`t blame you for you said you are jewish, but still, noQuote:
