I've just brought WS4 and was wondering if anyone has created a webpage with WS4 web templates? I wouldn't mind looking at some designs to see what can be done with WS4.

Have a look at www.wega.org.uk The whole website is based on the Calibrate theme.
There are seven different versions of the theme used.
I found it a good idea (in fact it is essential!) to keep each version of the theme separate. Also once you have the skeleton of the page save a "blank" page. It should have the navigation bars, layout, colours etc, but, otherwise no content. When you want to add a page, open it, add your content, and save it with a new, relevant name.
Used with an eye to its limitations, WebStyle 4 lets you build good looking web sites easily.
It would be nice if you could keep photos in their own folder, rather than in the same directory as the web page, but if you are careful with the naming it is no great problem.
Certainly the web site looks a lot better than it did before WebStyle
Program is fancy, cute but a real pain in the .... especially with resolutions. If anyone viewing your site is using a 800x600 resolution they will have to scroll right and left.
I had a few busines sites but had to redo them with other softare (not WS4).
I've a personal site at www.chickenmanweb.com
not really concerned about lower resolutions with that one but any business stuff beware.
Keep in mind that oif you are using FP2003 like me you can create a site without using WS templates but you can still use the buttons,na bars etc....
Good luck ... hope you have patience.
Chickenman always use % of something... no exact pixels to autosize window for different screen resolutions. My Site

Excellent site! Looks great. Pictures of the stars are outstanding!
ks8w and GOC, also great sites, good to see some actually finished off.
Just wanted to say thanks for posting those.
Does anyone know if it's possible to remove
the graphics in the left and right upper
coners of Sabre theme and move the whole
thing all the way up? I don't really need
the company logo and it's just a waste of
space for me.
Thanks.
I got WS4 yesterday and used it and FrontPage 2003 to totally redesign my site using the Calibrate theme: http://www.creative-thinking.org. I still have a lot of work to do on the site to finish it and clean it up, but overall I am pleased with how quickly I was able to put it together.
GOC - I like what you did with the Calibrate theme! I'll have to try out some of your suggestions.
I seen your post regarding a good idea to save a blank page with the same layout as the orginal page. How does one go about doing that. I can't even find how you select one of the other five pages available in my calibrate theme pages. I keep getting an error message. The blank page would be great. Your advice will be welcomed. I just purchased this and having a little difficulty but nice program.
Thanks
Bill
In www.wega.org.uk there are seven variations of the Calibrate theme set. Each is stored (in Webstyle) as a separate project. In my Web directory on my hard drive, there are seven sub directories, each with a name similar to its project.
When you create a variation of the theme set (set the colours, make the links for the nav bars etc) save it into a project. To start with you will have to press the New Project button and name your project. Use a name which lets you know what it is. Mine are things like Excursions, Lectures, Xwords etc. Later, as you have more projects, when you save make sure it is the correct project as you can get into great difficulties if it goes astray.
Also save your web page into the appropriate sub-directory on your hard drive. As you do this change it's name from say Calibrate_theme.html to something meaningful. In my case Reviews or Lectures or Info etc.
When next you look in say the Info sub-directory you will find Info.html and a folder Info_files. This has been produced by WebStyle and includes a host of gifs which are the elements of your web page (and if you have changed the colour scheme, are different from similarly named elements in other variations of the theme set - so don't get your variations mixed up!) and three javascript files. These are important as the xaramenu one tells how to put the page elements together and the navbar ones have all the details of the links - so once again do not get your variations mixed up!
I use FrontPage 2002. Open the web page, remove the stuff about Bulletted lists etc which comes with the Theme and put in the content, - I use lots from WebStyle -, and save. Now remove your content, except for the things which will be constant for all the web pages. This may include empty tables so you keep the spacing of the content constant. Now save this as Blank.html in the same place alongside your web page. To make more web pages open Blank, put in the content and save with an appropriate name.
If you have to change the navbars, click them in Frontpage and you will be taken to WebStyle automagically. Make the changes and save. MAKE SURE IT IS SAVED TO THE RIGHT PLACE. Generally WebStyle will keep you right but if you are moving between projects things can get confused.
When you upload keep everything where it is - i.e. do not move folders about or move things from one folder to another. You will get the javascripts very confused if you do. And if you update the navbars, you will need to upload the button gifs and the javascripts.
WebStyle is a very good program if you understand what it is doing. It has certainly made my web site much better looking.
Nice site Goc you have made full use of the theme, by the way where may I ask did you get the crosswords from.
Bill
I made the crosswords up myself. Actually it is not very difficult - Crossword Compiler and WordWeb Pro are the secret! Get them from http://www.crossword-compiler.com/
Many Thanks Goc
