Now that my reviews have been finished, I got time to do some modeling. This is what I did last night, still got some tweaking and figure out how I am going to texture it.
This was done using "box" modeling in Cinema 4D.

BTW, is that the "natural" shadow casting in C4D? It looks nice and diffuse!

Don - Thanks for the comments! I may due a metalic version the thought crossed my mind.
I don't know if I like the coloring of the spider right now, but I am going to put it away for awhile and maybe comeback to it later.
Modeled in Cinema 4D R8 post work in Photoshop and Painter.

Stu - No offense taken. I really don't like it much either and the more I look at it the more I dislike it. I wasn't trying for reality here, I was going more for a radioactive spider.
