http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif These are all such fun, Ivan, just delightful, and I can see fascinating characters within them...my particular favorite is the beaky little bird in the midst of the set and at the bottom...I'm sort of partial to birds, and the chick is very cute too. You amaze me! These characters seem so fresh and alive even at this early development! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Very cool - Narciso rocks as well http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
As Gidge would say you are having to much fun Ivan http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

ivan, you make this Silo program look like a must-have! Thank you for sharing these http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/cool.gif creations!

Thanks,
Maya, Silo is a dream for me, I am going back to my early ages of drawing and modeling with plasticine. Yes I allways have been very interested by the inner side of my characters. http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Stu, I consider fun as an elementary human right http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Dan, despite at this stage it lacks of some cool tools present in Wings, I feel much more friendly with Silo because of its fantastic display quality. At the moment I begin to explore the partial subdivision function, which is very different from the one of Wings. The feedback of Silo's programmers is also very friendly.
Probably more pictures soon.

I love the look on the Pitbulls face Ivan, like hes thinking hmm ok who do I bite next http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
007 ...which one Connery or Moore http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Theres a C4D artist called Pupil who chas created some amazing images of characters who are upper class owls.If you havent seen these images already let me know and I will find links for you Ivan http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ....one of them is called "Earl bird"
Stu.
Thanks Stu,
About 007 I have thought to S. Connery, but that was my own impression.
And no, I am new to 3D forums and I don't know Pupil. I should be very interested to have some links ! Thanks again.

I like the look of that pooch too Ivan, though I thought the expression read... "oh oh, now I have gone and done it" hehe...
I love the expression on the monkey critter... he looks so cool http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Stu... Connery was my pick for 007.. something bout that voice that they can never replace eh http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Connery definitely. Forget Moore. Brosnan is the new heir apparent http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I don't know why, but there are a lot of monks in my stories projects. Again, imaginate this monkey as the monk "Brother William of Baskerville" http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif in "The Name of the Rose" (no direct relations with my stories, but I liked a lot the book and the movie, and Connery was also excellent in this role).

So funny, Ivan, the monkey does very definitely have the resemblance to Sean Connery! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/eek.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif The parrot-eagle is a wonderful character...gee, these would be great in a story!!!
Wonderful fun work, Ivan!!! Keep 'em coming! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

P.S. Oh yes, The Name of the Rose, I loved that one!!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif And as Connery said, "How peaceful life would be without love, "How safe," "How tranquil and how very dull."

Hahaha! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Ivan, this is yet ANOTHER totally delightful character!!! You are absolutely a natural at this, and it would be great to see these characters together in a book/story or animation! They could comprise a unique little world which would be adored by adults and children alike. These are such fun!!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Thanks for your encouragements, Maya. In fact I am not interested by animation at this stage. I think there is a large room for comics realized with 3D tools and that's my project. As you saw with the first versions of narciso & réséda modelized with Lightwave, the project was allready advanced some years ago. But time was lacking because the workflow was too slow and not sufficiently intuitive for me in Lightwave modeling (I could not say that about rendering ; Lightwave excels in this area !)
The natural and philosophical environment of my comics stories is already very elaborated and some characters very deeply defined. I am particularly exigeant about keeping control in this area and that's why I prefer to begin with a project I can concretize alone. Probably I will begin with short stories. The first scenes will be rendered in December and the first pages somewhere next year.
(A little problem is they will be in french at first time ...!)

Excellent, Ivan! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif This is a great cat! You are so wise to keep total control of the project and your characters. I hope your story will be published in English too! I would most certainly buy a copy of it! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
---Maya http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Man but you are on a roll there Ivan http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
I am wondering if you shouldn't pop out the forehead a tad on this kitty... either way, great stuff man... and thanx for the wires eh... I love viewing wires... they tell stories which textures often hide... though in your case the geom is as good as always... keep em com'n Ivan http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Maya, the more early and widely you want to publish, the less you can keep control on your creations.
Gidgit here is the next version with a lot of corrections (in the forehead too). Of course, the geometry must be good, otherwise expressions are too difficult to change on the faces. But I am at a very early stage in this area. Thanks for your advice !!!
