This was going to be for Steve Ledger's Up In Smoke challenge,
but as I didn't use the supplied rocket I thought it wouldn't be
suitable. So here it is. Made in Xtreme from an image found on the
web which I substantially altered.
Saludos,
Bob.
The opening reception for an exhibit of my latest stereogram images. Lots of people moving in and out with others instructing those who could not see the images, how to see the images.
There were about 5 breakthroughs where people we able to see the hidden images. So, for those of you who cannot see these magical images, there's hope. :)
Nothing much going on here at the moment. I am experimenting with different ways to present the photos taken by my son during his (now over) Japan visit.
TILTVIEWER is a 3D flash presentation script that is quite fun, though really only suitable for high bandwidth (aka: fast) connections.
For this I created a simple front-end page using Xtreme4 tools and html output.

Nice rocket Bob.
Gary, is that exhibit in New Mexico ? You must make a lot of those sterograms.
Steve, nice web site and photos.
having fun with the rockets Bob ! :)
I've got the hang of seeing the stereograms now thank goodness - good one Gary always nice to exhibit good work
Some nice pictures on the site Steve - but the mode of presentation is a bit too 'flash' for me :p:D
Sigaret :)
whit the xar file.
screw driver.
Nice screw driver Ron.
The screws aren't bad either.
Saludos,
Bob.
Still a work in progress...

Looks like a Pontiac Solstice, yes? no?
Now that you mentioned it Ron, i see it really reminds the Solstice, but Suvek is right it´s an Alfa Romeo: the 8c.
A Logo for a friend who sells ... erm ... mobile phones I think.
Just having fun...
my latest. All Xara, with the help of some stock photo textures.
One of my character concepts
Just fiddlin' around trying to improve my Xara Xtreme skills. Judging by the quality of the rest of the posts, and how long it takes me to get something done, I've still got a lot to learn. :o
Bob,
Thanks for the vote of confidence! The more I play with XXP4 the more I learn. The more I learn about XXP4 the more I play.
My avatar is XXP4 all the way! I was chomping at the bit to try out the animated GIF feature and that was what I wound up with. I wanted an avatar that moved just enough that someone would look at it twice (or thrice) just to make sure they weren't seeing things. I was trying strike just the right balance so I didn't create one that was too 'spinny' or obnoxious. I'm glad you noticed it.
Cheers,
Harry
Doing the usual old thing. I wanted a decent logo for a site but couldn't find a decent bitmap version so I reproduced it in XXP.
Harry, like your avatar as well. In some ways it's reminiscent of a Ludo board.
I've been making some wallpapers. I'm thinking that I may offer a small collection of wallpapers on my website. Here are the first 2
Nice job on the logo Egg. I always study and admire your work as it gives me something to aspire to.
Thanks for the kind words regarding my avatar. Although, you got me on the 'Ludo board'. I had to look that one up on 'Wikipedia'. After reading all about it, it appears to be a close relative of Parcheesi and Sorry, both of which I've played sporadically since the age of 4 or 5.
A tip of my hat to you,
Harry
Very nicely done Frances. Going with full disclosure, I must confess that I'm partial to the first one with the butterfly. It looks like you used a 4 color fill for the image background. Am I right?
I was on your website the other day, I must check back when I get a few minutes to see what else you've been up to.
Thanks for sharing,
Harry
Thank you Harry, and yes that is a four color fill on the butterfly background. I'm making some changes on the website, I"ve changed the buttons on the home page and given them mouseover effects, and I hope to have the sudoku page changed over to a fun and games page tomorrow.
Egg, that looks like a typical brigade badge. Nice work.
Frances, lovely wallpaper. The butterfly one does it for me.
Harry, you must be a mere fledgling if you have never heard of Ludo.:)
I'm still messing about with the XXFX Utility uploaded by Sculptex here.
A very slight chiselled bevel added to the dots and a grey rectangle
behind it. I like the effect.
Saludos,
Bob.
Reminds me of a Lego base board Bob... :)
Nice work everyone. I like your wallpaper files Frances,
I'm like you; it takes me a long time too. I know I still have a lot to learn. Most of the time goes to just figuring out how to make my idea work, and I make lots of mistakes along the way. Fortunately Xara make it fun, and easier than it would be with any other program. But that's just my opinion.
Keep plugging away.
Larry
A smiling cherry. A doodle that happened after making a smiling red face for Seagull earlier today. :)
Nice cherry doodle Bill!
Some caricatures created in between "more important" things to do, in the last 3 days. The website links in my profile are gone, but if anyone finds their way back to the "source" ... Please remember that any rude remarks on the website are meant to be just that -- rude remarks... It's all Web "fly-paper".
Art? No!
Compulsiveness? Yes, a little bit! :o
Xara? Levels, copyright addition and export, and plain simple storage in a beautifully slim Xara wrapper.
Again... Art? Absolutely not!
Risto
Neat, Risto. You know what it reminds of is caracatures on the front of the old TV Guides.
Yes very neat.
One observation. The caricature of Elvis in the lower left corner should be flipped along the vertical axis. Elvis impersonators curl the right side of their mouth because they practice looking into a mirror. Elvis actually curled the left side of his mouth. :D
Risto,
Are the caricatures drawn, or distorted photographs? If they are drawn they are brilliant. If distorted they are merely well done! Interesting nontheless.
Ahhh... That Elvis "curl"... Soquili, the caricature is not of Elvis, it's that of an Elvis impersonator... :D Darn... Have to flip that one. :(
Keith, they are just quick liquify/goo manipulations of photographs (with some added "flavour" (which also help disguise some "mishaps")). Done about 800 of them in the last year - takes about 5 minutes each (including the upload/web page).
The point of it all? If I happen to "irritate" just the right "clique", it brings in web traffic = some who find their way to my other sites = fly-paper.
Closer look at Abe.
Risto
Risto likes to suck em in, and beat em up, hehe... it's wicked funny and a joy to read...:D
This is a card designed for a friend's company, I am still working on it.
