A Trivial Question - February 2013
This film has a cult status and following.
If you've not seen it, I think at least you will have heard of it.
Do you know the name of the film?
If you know the answer, then leave a cryptic clue.
That might be an interesting way of saying you know what it is, and still give others a chance to work out what it is?!

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
You need to see a shrink.
-
Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
OK wrong again. So I have no idea what the film is.
-
Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
Hi Larry.
Not sure about shrinks, but a nurse plays a big part in this film.
-
Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
OK thanks Rik. Now I'm sure I got it wrong. So will keep thinking about it. I was worried that you may have taken my first post the wrong way and that I should have phrased it differently.

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
I took your advice and that's where I was last week.
The shrink advised that I get Mr Whathsisname Attachment 94538 onto the case.
A court summons for you, is on its way.

Well, Acorn.
At the moment you win the prize for being the most obscure!
You'll have to get slightly less obscure with me!
I can't make any connection with 'Gerald'.
-
Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
I take it back.
Obviously it was not obscure enough for my wife.
She says that Gerald (surname not mentioned here) is a character in the film.
So, a big WELL DONE, Acorn.

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
Maybe Gerald needs to see a shrink. And who let Mr Whathisname out of his cage? Oh woe is me, I better get some protection.

I think it's the Story of Pink
but I'm not sure
I can't explain you would not understand, this is not how I am.

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
I think you're going to have to do some explaining, John.
Because, I can't do anything with 'Story of Pink', and make it fit into the name of the film.

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
What's more cryptic than being totally wrong? :D
Had an idea it might be The Wall, same bricks, Gerald Scarfe type blots ...
...
-
Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
I initially thought of The Wall also - but after digging around I came up with an answer, but somehow I can't relate it to the cryptic clues left by others.
-
Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
John: It's not a musical.
Glenn: Don't necessarily go by the clues left by others!
Suffice to say that it's got nothing to do with The Wall or Pink Floyd.
Instead, look at the symbol and where you might see that wall, with the symbol.
-
Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
Yes, been looking at the symbol :D That's why I wasn't sure

Where you would find the symbol, is in the title of the film.

I'm sure you will agree though, Glenn.
That the character has to contend with a bit more than a headache!
The 'hairy' part tells me that you've got the answer. =D>

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
don't you think this is getting long in the tooth? :)
-
Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
I'm stuck on whether it old Leather Apron or a lycanthrope. The later I think.

OK.
Here's the original poster.

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
Well I thought of that! But I also thought the image you gave was supposed to be a cryptic one [Blood on the Tracks came to mind ... but I don't think it was made into a film!] ... rare I accuse my brain of over-thinking :-O
PS CRYPTic quite appropriate! ;))

No, John. I don't post a cryptic image.
I don't start with a cryptic clue.
The idea is, that if you know the answer, you leave a cryptic clue to indicate that you know what the answer is.
That way, we get to have a bit of fun, and others can have a go at guessing, if they haven't worked out your cryptic clue.
Assuming that you have the correct answer in the first place.
But I liked your 'CRYPTic' reference! ;))

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
Yes, I know the theory Rik, I've answered one before if you recall. It's just I had a brain surge and was trying to decipher a crypticism that wasn't there! I shall keep thinking to a minimum next time, summat I'm good at ;)

Re: A Trivial Question - February 2013
:) No worries, John.
For one crazy moment, I thought I hadn't explained something?!
