Hi
how can i insert a table or create one?
Thanks,
Steve
Thanks for the updtae, as I have now found out This is not HTML and we cannot put tables in as we want, which is unfortunate because I thought Xara was going to be of benifit to me..I was going to try and update my own web site with something more than Microsft Front Page.
Xara is a good tool but I want more, I want to be able to do what I can aleady do but it appears Xara is not for me
Thanks.
Welcome Homecomp,
I think you'll find that XWD has never professed to be a html editor. It's a wysiwyg editor.Quote:

Tables are simplicity themselves to create.
Please give us an example and we'll show you how to do it.
I have a Table on my current web site
Listing all the Organizations by name and their Phishing help desk email addresses.
I am upto about 40 on the list now.
My intention was to revamp my web site, I do not have the time to sit and Programme a web site by hand I have enough Know how to see if the Programming is wrong when I look at it,
I thought Xara was for me It is not what I need.
But Thanks for the assistnace anyway
Steve
Wouldn't it be easy to just retype the one change and hit submit?
I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to accomplish.
Can you show us where to look to see the site and how you're using the table you want?
Hi
www.home-computer.co.uk
On the main page just under the email me bit is the page i want to recreate
Steve
You could do this VERY easily in Xara in less time than it takes to make a table
See attached.
Won't this do?
Hi
Sorry that Xara web item will not open
I have Xara Xtreme, every time I try is states
Spurious internal error has occured
Sorry
Steve
Well, this is a Web Designer file. We are talking about Web Designer here, don't we?
My mistake - WEB forum.
Web designer will do that easily. In fact you don't need the table - just list the organisations and link the actual address, as XWD encrypts the address anyway ...
Of course .... you need to use Web Designer though!
Sorry guys,
But I get this error now
Non-essential data has been found that is not recognised
ignored data includes (4217); (4361); (4362); and so on
Steve
In what application, and at what point is that error message displayed, Steve?
John, would this work for a blog as well?
http://brodyharris.blogspot.com
This issue was with expanding the page based on multiple posts.
Yes. This is made to support dynamic content. Presumably using PHP code. Here: http://www.talkgraphics.com/showpost...2&postcount=16
The error came up after Xara Xtreme tried to load the File
Steve
Steve if you don't have Xara Web Designer then you are posting in the wrong forum. All help and sample .web files in this thread are related to Web Designer, not Xara Xtreme.
Yes I do have Xara Web Designer
Steve
Steve, the same thing happens to me. I have XWD, but I just click on gthe attached file name and apparently .web is associated with XXtreme rather than XWD.
I was sent a file and on double clicking it Xara Xtreme opens up.
Steve, locate the downloaded file, right click over it and select Open With Xara Web Designer. Then in XWD go File/Preview web site.
I just came upon this link:
http://labnol.blogspot.com/2006/09/e...eadsheets.html
Read down to the Zohosheet part that contains the really useful info.
It looks promising for XWD users needing interactive tables on their sites.
Your feedback would be most useful.
