TG team:
Thanks a bunch for voting for the Digit Poll. We have a great showing at the moment. Number two and going strong!
BUT another poll has just come out and this one is VERY important. It is the WebTool Awards for WebTechniques magazine in the US. It's one of the biggest awards in the industry.
Please help us out by voting for Xara X. Mana (the editor) likes Xx, but we need to really show them what the reader's/owners think.
Sooooo.....

Would it be an idea to give people the direct link to the site - rather than have to give their e-mail address? I did vote, but often hate giving out my e-mail address as it usually ends up in getting junk mail.
Did not do it myself, in case you thought it was a bad idea, but it could limit the vote response.

Thomas,
I've now voted for XX too.
This is despite all it's GHASTLY shortcoming when it comes to Web work! I really prefer Photoshop for web work, but wanted to give XX a much-needed plug.

Are there people out there who really need those listed software products to do web work? My tools are a notebook and felt-tip pen to do my planning and then xara and dreamweaver to realize the ideas. It looks to me like webtechniques the mag is now orienting itself to a Dilbert world.

Just waiting for the link before I vote
If you're concerned about spam, here's a suggestion: using one of the many free webmail services, create a "throw-away" account to use instead of your regular e-mail address.

I voted with my regular email address. If they start spamming (and they haven't since I voted more than a week ago), I'll just filter it. Simple.

I'd be VERY surprised if WebTechniques started spamming you. They are a legit magazine and fairly well-known in the industry. At most, you'll get their monthly newsletter which will vary from interesting bits to completely useless sometimes. It really depends on what articles they are running in their mag for that month.
They tend to take the privacy issues very seriously over there.
Thanks for the votes and get the word out!
