Race Day in the Reno Pits
Don't get around to the sites much anymore and don't do much graphic work now. This is one I just completed. The Commonwealth Aircraft company built one of these Ca-15's in the late 40's. They were too late to the party with the war ending and jet age starting. It was scrapped in the early 50's. This is a what if it was still around and found in the pits at the Reno Air Races. 99% vector with minor touch up with a digital brush on the clouds and runway. I've shown some of the steps.

Hey Ron, thanks my friend. Appreciate your kind words.

Same as everyone else Gray, absolutely great and the shiney metal excellent.

More "Wow's" and doubtless many more posts of appreciation to come. All well deserved for this visual treat.

Thanks Stygg, Spondoolix.
Re: Race Day in the Reno Pits
Beautiful! Not only is the image a quality piece, but the topic is, as always, obscure & interesting.
There's some footage of this aircraft flying over my hometown, where it was developed, and despite it being a Mustang lookalike, it was bigger & faster. The RAAF might've done better with these than the Meteors in Korea!
Re: Race Day in the Reno Pits
Oh my God, just gorgeous Gray. Thank you for sharing.
Ciao

Re: Race Day in the Reno Pits
Thanks for the kind words, BR. This was an awesome aircraft that was better than the Mustang. Too bad it came to the party late. It used a Griffon for power.
Thanks Roly for your nice comments.
