Hi Manny, here's a link to a tutorial I did way back in 2004. Hope this gives you some ideas. It may be even easier to achieve now we have Art Brushes.

Manny,

Hi Ron, no I read his thread incorrectly. However there are nearly zero hair/fur brushes available to Xara unless you make them yourself ;)
apart from the default hair and fur art brushes that have been in xdpx line gallery since at least version 11 that ron has detailed, I don't know of any others either...
I guess a little more input from Manny would be helpful.
Does he want to know a location to "download" MORE brushes, other than what's available in Xara? OR, does he want to know how to "download" and keep the hair brushes Xara is already displaying?
Thanks from me too Fred, I also forgot those freebies.
@handrawn, I like your new avatar, really neat.
Stygg

Stygg, you are welcome. :salute:
I was surprised it took some digging to find.
The search function here (http://site.xaraxone.com/archive.htm) resulted in 404 errors for several topics .
Best regards,
We still have not heard from Manny?
What happened to Manny?!
Here are some brushes that I'm willing to share. The file contains 3 brushes that can be used to create different kinds of hair and fur and one basic line brush called daub this brush was used to create the lines that I used in the other brushes. They are art brushes set to mix the line colour with defintion greys. There are also some quick examples of the brushes in use and the vector artwork used to create the brushes.
Well done, Frances. Thank you for sharing these. :)
useful Frances, thanks :)
Thanks, Frances, very useful
You are all very welcome :) I'm glad they are proving useful. The vector artwork for the brush definitions will allow users to dissect them and see how I put them together too.
Just curious, but what hairy and fury things is everyone drawing with these brushes? :)
