Website built with Xara
I started this site with Xara Web Designer 5 over 10 years ago. I recently purchased Web Designer Premium 16. I have both a desktop and mobile variant. I work for this company and the website is my creation. All Xara.

Re: Website built with Xara
mcspade, nice and clean design.
Any reason why you don't use a navbar on the other pages? It makes navigating your site a bit cumbersome. You might also want to add a favicon to give it that extra touch.

Totally agree.
In my opinion, a Vavigation Bar (Menu Bar) is absolutely essential on all pages.

Re: Website built with Xara
Thank you for your input about a nav bar Boy and Rik. What is a favicon? Thanks!

Re: Website built with Xara
A favicon is your own customized icon that will show in browser tabs when visiting your website. Take a look in the Help file under 'Displaying your own icons in browser tabs' for how to create and display one. It's pretty easy.

Re: Website built with Xara
Thanks! I'm working on adding a nav bar to every page at this time. I'm also going to look into the favicon. Thanks for everyone's input!

Re: Website built with Xara
I believe I now have nav-bars on all pages. Next is the favicon.

Re: Website built with Xara
That navigates so much easier, mcspade! One other thing I would also change is to have all .pdf files open in a new window/tab: Utilities/Web Properties/Link and select under 'Open link' 'New window or tab," so the website stays available in its own window/tab.

Re: Website built with Xara
Thanks Boy! Thanks for the idea on the .pdf files. I'm on it!

Re: Website built with Xara
I now have all of the .pdf files opening in their own tab now. Now I want to get a favicon done yet this week. Thanks for everyone's input, you've helped my website look a lot more professional!

Re: Website built with Xara
Don't forget the 'Setup Manual' and 'Option Book' .pdf files.
Great 3D tours by the way.

Re: Website built with Xara
Thanks for the reminders for setup manual and option book. The 3D tours have been a very good investment, thanks!

They look fantastic. What camera is used - do you know?
I was quite surprised to find the best 3D tours I've ever seen on quite a retro site.

Looking at the camera reflected in a mirror, the Matterport Pro 2.

I had been planning the use of an indoor drone and waypoints to deliver a similar end product. Now I know the quality of the competition, I have something to aim for.
The stitching software is way too complex so I had been thinking of full rotations at waypoints and saccading between the waypoints. The last hurdle is how to reconstruct a floor plan from multi-point readings.

I would never use a drone for this purpose.

All of the above.

Yes Acorn, good eye, the camera is a Matterport. We don't own one, we hire a photographer who shoots the home. The 3D tour link takes you to the Matterport cloud. We pay approximately 50.00 per month for the hosting. Nonetheless it has been our best web investment yet.

It is the best 3D rendering that I have seen. A friend and colleague's business takes architectural drawings and converts them into virtual tours down to the level of turning on the gas cooker and opening and closing cupboards. They had a contract for 500+ luxury apartments that are totally immersive.

Curious, what software does he use? I'm assuming there's not a camera involved since they use the architectural drawings.

The company's own proprietary development. Cameras used for texture of 3D objects if needed.

Hi macspade, I like your site a lot but I dislike the 3D tours page with it's "Please Scroll Down to See all of Our 3D Tours" text within a wide blank space. How about placing the 3D files in pop-up layers which are opened by thumbnails?

Very nice, simple but practical design.
