Just wondering if there would be any interest in creating a Xara Templates section like the Xara Brushes section where members could share?

Yes that is a possibility.
In the meantime, anyone who has created a template they wish to share, just prefix your new thread title with [Template] followed by a give name.
eg: [Template] Photography theme
This will make it easier for mods to find and move later to a subforum.
Here's one I've been playing around with:D
[Template]GenX
Here's another one I created:D
[Template] HomepageTemplate
Just add your own Nav buttons etc.
Here is one I've been playing with:rolleyes:
[Template] pictemplate
Here is a stretchy button based on an old design of mine.
...
Thanks Steve.
Here is another stretchy button.
I neglected to mention the metallic button has named colours.
Some examples with various colours.
Very nice Bill, I like the blue version.
Thanks Frances.
Nice Header and strechy buttons guys.
Thanks for sharing:D
A slight update to the header template (due to certain issues).
Here's another header.
This is a fixed size button.
The animated gif shows the MouseOff and MouseOver.
Note: The button uses transparency so best used over a dark background similar to the one in the animation.
That's a great button Bill:D
Simple looking but very impressive!
Thanks
Here' another:D
[Template] Circle
Nice shares. Thank you!
Thanks Aridzone.
Here is a modified version of the above glass button.
This is more of a theme template that contains:
1. A fixed size button
2. A Stretchy button
3. A stretchy text panel.
The attached image shows a test page created with the elements in the attached .web file.
A couple of years ago I posted a "button toolkit" .xar file.
For anyone interested here is the file again. It consists of various 'gel' button fills and some 'gold' and 'chrome' frames to put the 'gel' objects within.
They are not fully functioning buttons, only the graphic objects that could be used to make buttons.
Thanks for button toolkit!
It will be very very usefulll
Jim
You are very welcome Jim.
I started out playing around with an idea for a banner and wound up creating a whole template. I call it Retro Swirls. All the colours are named.
Some of the elements for this template were done in XXP4 I found a possible bug. I used XXP4 to create the swirls which were done as spirals in SPXE and given a profile shape in XXP4 and converted to an editable shape. I tried to drag the shape from XXP4 to XWD however no shape appeared in XWD, and the info bar at the bottom showed "nothing selected". Copy and paste functions work just fine.
Bill, the Button Toolkit is awesome. Thank you.
Nice template Angelize
I really like the swirls:)
Beautiful template Frances. Thank you.
I was thinking maybe I should explain how easy it is to change the photos
in Xara templates. For example in my circle template just make sure view and edit checkboxes are checked for MouseOff in the layers gallery. Then open your Documents Folder and navigate to any of your photos. Drag your photos into each of the 5 small boxes within the circle. Your done just hit Preview:D
Thanks Aridzone.
One I've been playing with:cool:
[Template] ArrowAdvance
I fixed a missing outline on the popup beach shadows photo.
I also decreased the download file size:rolleyes:
New twist on an old theme:D
[Template] circle8pics
Added more pictures and decreased the file download size
It's easy to take a dull template with no mouseover pictures and
convert it to something like this:D
If you also have Xtreme Pro 4 I've noticed that there are a lot of cool designs in the Brochures Flyers & newspapers clipart section that can easily be incorporated into Website Designer.
In Web Designer open the Designs Gallery. Click the Disc Designs... button. Navigate to the C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 4\Clipart\newspaper folder and click Add.
This can also be done to add the websitetemplates folder if you didn't already know.:D
Sample:
Here's one I created by modifying a file in the newspaper folder clipart:cool:
[Template] Octagon
Here is an attachment to get the mouseoff octagon pieces.
Drag a photo from your documents folder in and resize.
Edit-select all
Arrange-combine shapes
Slice (cut) shapes - repeat this step 7 times.
Copy each octogon and paste in place on the octogon.web mouseoff page
Wow really helpfull, and I had to find out if I could do the mouseover
with the buttons and the hexagons themselves too, and it worked.
I am so happy now. :D
Nice addition Ankhor;)
Improvements and additions are always welcome around here:D
PS Thanks for pointing out the hexagon thing.
I do get my agons mixed up sometimes!
Another idea I've been playing around with:cool:
[Template] DropDownMenu
Some buttons I found laying around:D
Just draw a rectangle around with the selector tool, copy paste to your website.
Change color themes etc.
Here's one I've been toying around with:rolleyes:
[Template] ButtonPics
