Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
I don't quite understand your explanations but the depth of this one is amazing!
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
Gary, I had a tie like this once.
Just to confirm, should I be seeing it going away the tighter the spiral?
Acorn
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
Gary, I see a spiral that doesn't shrink into the depth as a normal spiral, but one that has additional high and lows as it spirals away.
Very impressive. :salute:
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
Acorn - The spiral should be coming forward. If the tip is going farthest away then you are viewing cross eyes. With this image it works either way.
Boy - I created the bitmap then applied the bitmap as an art brush to a spiral. The image is stretched out slowly for the entire length of the spiral.
Normally the spiral would go upwards or downward in an even progression. This brush makes it go up and down as it goes from background to foreground.

I guess I would have to try something like that myself to actually understand how it works.....

What I briefly saw was a spiral laying on its side.

There may be hope for you still Larry.
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
The method behind my brush is that art brushes can only handle very basic transparency. But a bitmap can be anything. So I create a bitmap at 600dpi (although I have no idea if this extra resolution makes any difference, and then create the brush from the bitmap.
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
I cannot see many but I briefly saw this one.
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
What if you print one out and look at it? Many people who can see stereograms cannot see them on a screen but they can see the images in printed form.
You have my permission to print out any of the images for your personal use.
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
Gary, we love you here but it's time to put the Stereogram program down and back away slowly. :)
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
Stereograms and the odd book are all I do anymore Dan. When I stop doing these it will all be over.
Re: Uneven Spiral Stereogram
Shadowman, the last chapter ;))
