Here is the Vette itself.
Vettes (with Named Colors - shades of the main color)
That is a great piece of work Drifter, i like the red one best.
How long did it take you to make it ?
Very nice vette!!
Everything looks great, but I prefer the older style wheels for a classic car like that. The newer low profile sidewall tyres just look out of place on a classic car ;)
Lot of work there with a good result.
Well done!
Agree with the wheel comment though that does not at all detract from the quality of the work.
Lot of hard slog there Bob.I know you have been at it for a long time. I will have two of each colour thank you.
Thanks Whizz Kid, Bill, Intbel, and Norm. This is a car I have always wanted, but never had, even though in my younger days I had 7 different sports cars (and loved all of them). My Austin Healey was one of my favorites.
Took me quite a while to do this pic since I had started prior to my hand operation and then wasn't able to use the mouse too well while healing.
I have been changing a little on this pic every single day - I don't want to do that anymore and am leaving it as is.
Time to move on.
I can relate to the feeling of wanting to move on. There was one portrait that took me almost 4 years to complete. The first few weeks went quickly, then as time wore on I would skip a week, then two and before it was complete I skipped an entire year :o
Nice piece of work :)
Drifter, this is an awesome work...the Corvette was my dream car as a youth. The '57 Corvette rolled off the assembly line the year I got my drivers license...sigh...
This Corvette is your master piece, Bob.
Great work.
Remi :)
Thank you for your kind words, Big Frank, WolfMoonHP, and remi. :)
Bob,
I love it! Awesome work! Cars are really popular and have a huge part in American history and nostalgia. I always wanted a 1958 in white. I know white sounds rather plain or ordinary, but ever since I saw one many years ago, I fell in love with the look.
ron
Drifter, you've gpt some hell of a patience!
Bob,
I love the car ..... hate the wheels! They just seem out of place. The chrome effect just doesn't blend into the rest of the drawing but seems "in your face".
Then again perhaps it's just me.
Drifter! Excellent job....which must have taken the patience of Job....all that painstaking detail. Oi! You have wonderful taste in cars! :)
Thanks Ron, Availor, Egg and Ringtail. Just so you know, I didn't draw these strange wheels onto an otherwise fine car. They were already there - came with the car.
Drifter, you know the way to overcome the wheel problem is by distraction. You borrow the court stenographer from Ringtail's "Golf Anyone" and have her sporting a smile and not much else, then in front of the back tire, all the needless office equipment and the discarded clothes.
That way none of your critics will notice anything wrong about the car.
But I will still notice the wheels, (you see I am immune to the above antics)!
Hahahaha. Yes, she would certainly distract the viewers' eyes.
Those chrome wheels are what took so long. There are tons of parts to each, but it was a lot of fun trying to make them actually look chromish (if there is such a word).
Hmmm. Was thinking a redhead would be ideal for a red beauty like this car. ;) Shame to hide such pretty wheels tho.

Personally, I think she is overdressed.
Well, Ringtail what happened to the pile of discarded clothes? Oh, well, you don't have to take all of my suggestions. Great drawing. Collaborative effort.
And Raymond, he is the wizard of animation. How does he do it? When does he sleep? Or does he?
Must be burning the midnight oil.
That's it Ringtail, that's fixed the wheel problem!
I may not be able to draw 'em but I can animate 'em okay sometimes ...
What happened to the piles of clothes to help the back wheel? Like who's going to look at the back wheel with all the cheese cake in front. I just wanna know is that real English Cheddar?
Hahahahaha. You are ALL nuts! And I love it!
Drifter Ringtail - I like it. :) :) :)
Haha Intbel you are crazy :)
Terrific work guys!
Shall we call her "Annie Mation".
Great work lads
Useful to take time out just to have fun sometimes.
Good for the soul, keeps one young and if it makes folks smile a little more that makes it worthwhile.
I only wish I could draw well, then I'd not have to animate the work of others and could really let my imaginination run riot.
Working on that though ...
Great stuff! Anna Mation...love it! :D Do you use Xara to animate Intbel?
Yes, that's what I bought it for in the first place.
Best prog for drawing animated gifs there is I reckon.
This aspect of Xara is underadvertised, undervalued and underused in my opinion.
This seems to have drifted off topic somewhat ... butI guess it's okay s'long as we keep your Corvette in the picture >grin<
That is a v. good drawing, btw.
nice work drifter and i love the lady Intbel, She looks a bit like that one of that famous plane the Enloa- Gay (is it that one i cant remember? ) Over all very nice work!!!!Thank you for sharing it with us !!
 Sorry I missed Ringtail Well at the end of the day all 3 of you made a great PIC!!!
The "Enola Gay" was the name of the B-29 bomber which droped the atom bomb on Hiroshima. If I remember correctly it was the piloyts wifes name.
"Enola Gay" -> atom bomb on Hiroshima -> "famous plane"???
I hope, it's a terrible misunderstanding...
Misunderstanding in what way?
And "orchestral manouvres in the dark" or short OMD
made a song about it, named "Enola Gay."
And the enola gay was one of the airplanes that did drop the bomb.
I looked to the WWW to see pictures of the airplane and in my memory
it seemed to have pinup art on it, but it seems just to have the letters
enola gay on it in black.
Maybe it was the airplane that dropped the bomb on nagasaki that had
the nose plane art on it, memory is a funny thing.
Hmm, but many airplanes did have at drawings on the nose
something like on this website, the bottom one is also is kinda halloweenish.

and another one.
