I'm trying to create a triangle line shape with rounded corners to use as easy cutting shape for keychain designs, but I can't figure out how to separate and remove the inner parts (red) from the whole. How to do this?
Re: How to separate, remove these inner line shapes?
I can't remember if version 5 has curvature adjustment for quickshapes - why I was checking first....

I appreciate why you asked. I just jumped ahead. v5 does have curved corners for QuickShapes (just checked).

Just looking at your image I would say when putting the circle in place you need to cut it so the red precisely lines up with rhe black lines, I would suggest making both the same lline weight such as 4pt and increase the zoom so you can get a clear view of how both line up then select both and slice(Ctrl 4) you can always change the lpne weight.
OK I did a tutorial as how i did it. Maybre someone else here knows a better way.Attachment 126304

OK i see Handrawn and Acorn had a better way.

Rarely use the Content Catalogue but Triangle 2 would seem ideal for this.

What's content catalogue? Sounds like something my version does not have.

it does not, it's an online resource that only the later subscription versions have
[edit - to be pedantic it came in about ver 11 just before the subscription model was introduced]

I don't know if the Content Catolgue is operational in the free trial of Xara Photo & Grapic Designer, you could download it and see.
The current price is £39.99 should you wish to purchase it. Probably get a reduction on an upgrade too.
Two circles, dia 26mm.
Separate to suitable distance.
Add in rectangle width of circle centres and height 26mm.
Add Shapes.
Clone and recolour twice.
Rotate on 60 deg and the other -60 deg.
Reposition into required triangle (Snap to Objects).
Add Shapes.
Shape tool - delete empty middle triangle.

Here is my solution if you need different diameters. Let's say 10 mm at the top, 15 mm at the bottom left and 20 mm at the right.

The Shape Tool is F4. You click-drag over the three inner Point Handles and press Delete.

Thanks for the effort. I'll try that way also. At 1:50 how did you get those lines position in the middle?

Re: How to separate, remove these inner line shapes?
If I press Shift+F4 I get points but no handles.
Okay I did doubleclick on the shape then click on the points (I think) then was able to delete points.
Thank you.
ps strange that the corners are not perfectly round but a collection of bended lines.
Re: How to separate, remove these inner line shapes?
You select the shape first with the Selector Tool (the arrow pointer) then press F4 to enable the Shape Tool.

You are right; it appears to be interference with two co-incident circles at each apex.
Rather than Add Shapes early on, group, clone twice, rotate into position, ungroup and delete the topmost red circles, leaving just one at each corner.
