Don't be shy Steve. You can post that here. Or at least a link to the animated logo. I guess animated GIFs don't play here.
I suspect that part of the design parameters was a design that was a transition from the previous logo

I think the article is interesting in itself - we are all going to get this 'new and improved browser' rolling out from tomorrow.. it probably works better than before, but chrome is chrome... doubt I will use it anymore than I did ;)
What is odd, and this is a challenge for any 3D people out there. I tried to create a stereogram of the logo, but she shape defies definition, for me at any rate. I've done a series of logos including Google and Pepsi and the designs suggested depth but this Edge logo is one I don't think I will solve.
I love the spacial effect in the Pepsi logo.
Meh. While I didn't overly like the former Edge logo, I think the new logo's story is better than the actual logo.

For those who are interested in the animation, you can Import all 121 frames by using File > Import from Web Address (Ctrl+Alt+W) with https://46c4ts1tskv22sdav81j9c69-wpe...39c50a87f8.gif BUT you need to remove the protocol so copy in the detail inside the quotes: "46c4ts1tskv22sdav81j9c69-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/prod/sites/2/2019/11/8c9568e0875e71b5c0397f39c50a87f8.gif" [TG might include a space or two so remove those first].
