Here is a new character I have developed, all with Xara Extreme for Linux
I still just need to add his propulsion, I'm not sure whether I want to do flames of electricity....... "ahhhh the tuff decisions in my life"

Here's a close-up
One more even closer look at the head :p He's headin' for those mountains
:D:D - great drawing Paul, the mountains make the expression do they not
Thanks Steve... Yes, he is very happy to see those mountains. The lab where he was built is in them;)
Neat :D I reckon the mountains are a hint he wants some legs so he can get to them thar hills! :p
Caterpillar-tracks?
rather fancy the Zebedee look myself [ok - I can be old fashioned at times :p]
Excellent work Paul. I too am looking forward to the finished version.
He looks great Paul. The visor looks excellent with the reflection.
Thanks everyone... I think maybe tonight, I'll try-out two different forms of propulsion to see what you guys think looks the best:D
Then the tough part... inventing the story itself..., as well as deciding if it is to be a "one-time" story... or can easily be made into an ongoing series of stories....
Maybe, if I eat enough greasy burgers, and a gallon of rootbeer... I'll pass out and it will all come to me in a devine image:rolleyes:
Nice one paul... how about shome shapely legs... just for some contrast...
On the burgers and beer... Something will come but I doubt it will be a devine revelation.
Well, I can at least bet on having one kind of outer body experience or another:D
Nice robot, how about some tracks like on a tractor or a tank ?
Thanks Bruce:D
I had thought about using tracks, and a couple other ideas but, then set my mind on a mode which would entail hovering...
This is the first idea "electrostatic propulsion"
The next idea is maybe there is a very strong type of fan within the round base, which would literally act as a hovercraft effect of getting around, and then of course the means of rocket propulsion... Although, I have moved away from the latter as it would create a lot of damage;)
So, it's either this way (electrostatic)... or hovercraft:rolleyes: as a hovercraft, I will need to home my skills at illustrating the dust blowing around his path.
I like it. But your robot does not appear to have a leg to stand on. :)
Hehe... I gues I should add some landing gear:rolleyes:
