do you have version 18 installed on more than one computer - if so the installer may be asking you for permission to remove version 18 before it installes version 19; versions 18 and 19 are treated as the same by magix and they only allow two installations in total
Ok I managed to download and install a standalone version that does not display galleries or content catalogue. It has also broken version 18.
Handrawn it just removes version 19 installation files.
there have been some definate issues with the magix installer for version 19 - I understand these have been fixed
my advice would be to redownload the installer to make sure you have the latest version
if this still does not work then you may need to uninstall version 18 first - when you say this is broken - in what way ?
note there does not seem to be a version 19 content catalog - version 19 downloaded the same as version 18 for me
to install the content go to help menu and the download content link
X19.0 should be a separate install and appear like this:

There are several threads highlighting issues with the Magix installer; not sure if this works but I downloaded the trail version and manually entered the serial number; I did not delete 18,5 and still have that version working and visible in Magix My Products:

Until recently I had v16.3 and v17.0 installed too. v18.5 should still be working; make you sure select the program and not a desktop shortcut to it.
You may still find the Local Design Library has only partially loaded, likely the Online Help file still says v18.0 too.
I had thought Magix had sorted this mess, but looks not to be the case.
The serial numbers for v19 and v18.5 are the same

both versions work for me; I don't use the content very much at all so I can't really comment if there are any actual differences between 18 nand 19 in practice, beyond the fact that ver 19 download content downloaded version 18 content or so it said...
Since installing V19 none of the galleries work in V19 or V18.5. Icons are there but nothing seems to work
have you gone to xara help menu and clicked download content installer and pan studio and installed the content installer [pan studio is an aside to this] - then gone to the design gallery and from the more menu clicked update now ?
if that does not work you can click on the design gallery more menu empty designs cache, and try update now again
if that does not work, may need to do a manual purge

me i would uninstall both programs reboot and start from scratch with the latest installer [trial] downloaded from magix site, but you may not wish to do that
you can manually purge the cache go to:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Xara\XtremePro/
where USERPROFILE is your user name - do not forget the % before and after
you should see at least two folders one for 18 and one for 19 - click on each of these and delete the cache folder in each
it should then be able to rerun the content installer... but... it may be something else; if no one else has better ideas you may wish to contact magix support

The forums seem to suggest a problem with the initially supplied installer.
Indications are there is a new installer.
Many are still suffering...
I suggest you all contact Magix and explain the grief that has occurred, kindly request full details for the rectification steps and in a nice manner, suggest your Registration Date is changed to the date Magix provides workable instructions.
I find it galling that so many will just accept the problem and give up to their cost and detriment of being unable to use such a clever application.

Uninstalled VX19 and then installed trial version and registered. Deleted Cache file and then started installation of content and panorama studio. Failed again. Still no Galleries flyout.Attachment 131918Attachment 131919

Looks like they have replaced one faulty installer with another faulty one, but I would still have thought you can access v18.5 and v19.0 (if you downloaded v19 trial option and registered it with your 365 licence).

The programs run, just cant get galleries to work other than page & layer gallery. There is no flyout bar on the right side of the page. Also Content installer and panorama studio installation still fails.
Someone else on the forums is having the same issues ass well as a broken X18.5.

Well, I submitted a support ticket a week ago, and no response. At this rate, my updated version will expire. I laugh when I read that the expired version is one reason it may not work. Uhm.. according to the product description, I paid for access to the content catalog.. even downloaded free templates which I have no access to now. Too bad I don't live in Australia, this would definitely be a breach of the service agreement. I could try logging in to XARA Cloud, I never did activate the 1-year free subscription, but that causes other issues with the desktop edition since they are not exactly the same version. It sucks because, without the Content Gallery, you don't have access to the widgets, navbars, and other tools for web design. (unless you code it yourself)
if it is any help: to finally get the content installer to work correctly I had to uninstall xdpx19, uninstall xdpx18, deactivate both in magix account; then delete the appda/local... 18 and 19 folders
then having downloaded xdpx 19 trial installer - install this and activate with [ver 18] key
then in help, download the content installer which installed content as version 19 [not sticking at 18 as it did before] - and it now works ok, without the occasional 504 error [so far :)]
but I no longer have ver 18 on my desktop but I am fine with that

That is totally unacceptable from Magix. But I guess I'll have to go down the same road as there has been no response from them other than the fact that I've somehow paid for the upgrade plus a new standalone version. I've asked for a full refund until the issues are resolved.
After all these years you'd think they would have at least the installer working properly.
ironically I make very little use of the OCC and at first did not see anything wrong with the uodate apart from getting the Deutsche installer; that now is fixed too
I use version 15.1 as much if not more, because of other issues
hope it works for you - be sure you know what you are deleting - I always clone system disk first just in case

I honestly don't want to pay a subscription, that's why I chose the program. I was designing on Xara cloud when it was in beta and didn't know it when I had Xara page &layout designer. When the cloud was separated from the program, My design, had conversion issues with Java scripts, that never did get fixed till I upgraded to Xara designer pro X.
This worked for me, now to attach the stored templates and fonts that were installed.
Did the remove/reinstall. Content installer and Pan Studio installed. Now get the following error when opening Content Catalogue:

504 is a server timeout - and the dialog box effectively says the index [and therefore the asset] cannot be installed - one, of course, may be causing the other - it could be something else such as a simple network delay, or a corruption from the previous install
I would wait a while and see if it resolves itself server-side - make sure your computer is shut down and then cold booted up again
