Member #20,000 was EvilSanta who registered on June 18th
Re: Congratulations TalkGraphics.com...
So EvilSanta is bestowed the dubious honor.
I'm glad I asked. Plus I found out that I'm TG member #16651. I never really noticed before. Not that it matters all that much.
Thanks for the info,
Steve

Re: Congratulations TalkGraphics.com...
The lowest existing user is #2: http://www.talkgraphics.com/member.php?u=2
Funny thing is, he's registered 04 March 2004. :D
So, I think the free numbers can be reused with new accounts. :)

Re: Congratulations TalkGraphics.com...
The only way that I can get my ID number anywhere near that low is to convert it to hexadecimal ... 4320 (17184 decimal) :D

Mine is 81... However I think Gary had some problem with his inscription at this time because logically he should be "1" !

I'm 268 (and sometimes feel that old!), registered in August 2000 — and what a great group to belong to.

Curtis, you just have to think outside the conventional and use a base 17184 numbering system. See, now you're number 1. ;)
No problem at all,
Harry

Wouldn't that make him 10 in base 17184, not 1 ?
Kinda reminds me of the old saying "There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those that don't."

Hmmm, you're probably right, Chris. In my defense, I'm not used to base 17184 numbering systems and more than a 'bit' fuzzy on doing the calculations in my head. Yeah, right. :D That's my story, though, and, like hair in a biscuit, I'm sticking to it. ;)
Re: Congratulations TalkGraphics.com...
Interesting to see that I got 1433 in year 2000 when all the people who joined in 2004 have far lower numbers ?

Re: Congratulations TalkGraphics.com...
Exactly! I have 1394 registered in 2004, and the guy with #2 (two!) is registered in 2004. So I would'nt rely on those numbers. They are not quite what we expect them to be. :)
Re: Congratulations TalkGraphics.com...
There have been at least two 'migrations' of the member database and the forum software.
When i-u/s was bought by a company that was not interesting in continuing the forums Xara Group sponsored the forums on an InfoPop server located in California.
When the California company was unable to handle the size of the member database. We were experiencing downtime and often were unable to attach imges when the forums were available. Xara Group began hosting the forums on servers in England and vBulletin became the forum software.
I would think that during the move from i-u/s to an InfoPop system some member numbers were freed for use by new users. Probably the same occured during the move from InfoPop to vBulletin.
There was another move a few months ago of the servers but without a change in forum software. The servers hosting Talkgraphics are now located in Berlin. Presumably on MAGIX servers.
