Am I the only one who can't export WebP images?

No problem here Gary. This is my set up Web Properties / Website:
Also works via File Export WebP
Then there is something wrong with my computer because it will not export. Period.
Not stating the obvious Gary but have you tried Run as Administror ?? Sorry to ask such a stupd question :o
Can you export WebP from Gimp?
I don't have Gimp and I just tried run as administrator and it did not work and disabled the ability to drag and drop an image from the desktop into the program. Maybe it is nature's way of telling me I, who brought up the lack of support for WebP in the first place, don't need this capability.
>:) Probably, nasty old grump!
Perhaps it might be worth downloading Gimp Gary. It could be a simple corrurt DLL file on your machine. Everyone else seems to get it to export?
Egg, all seems to work as far as Xara has implemented.
No Animated WebP for File > Export Animation though. Has this been considered?
No create Bitmap Copy as WebP, so I assume this is part of the Import WebP work?
I wonder when WebP 2 will be implemented? Mind you, Google only released WebP 10 years ago.
It's a start and I am looking forward to WebP Imports and really hope SVGs are on the cards.

Egg - Yes, I can export a WebP file from Gimp.
I can’t export webp files either. After aborting, this error message appears. ???

Hi Ernie,
Is this when going to File > Export WebP or when going to File > Export and selecting the webp option? This error basically means that the filter type is not set within the export dialog. I've seen this before with PDF as well when for some reason the 'save as type' option is blank when trying to save, instead of the actual format selected. Might be worth checking that WebP is actually set in the export option
Thanks
Rob

Now is this supposed to happen http://gwpriester.xara.hosting/webp/New%20page.htm
The image on the page has two additional layers. And they publish as Webp as layers. If you try to view image, you see the layer and not the image.
Rob and Ernie - That is the same error message I get. Even after the patch.
Hi Garry,
in your link there is only png no webp.
I think we got a corrupt update or something will not play with our hard-/software?
Here are some specs of my system:

No, not that I know. I have no need to do this.
Hi Ernie,
It sounds like possibly a corrupt install. Can you try uninstalling DP+, and making sure there's nothing in the install folder after uninstalling (default location C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Designer Pro+), then re-downloading and installing again?
https://xpsupdater.xara.com/Installer/XPSSetup.exe
Afterwards, see if you get the error still and if the WebP filter option appears in the file type dropdown?
Thanks
Rob
Hi Rob,
I'll try it later in the evening. For now I've a lot of work to do for holding the pblishers deadline.
So pls. be patient.
Thx. for helping.
Rob - Should I try this too?
I did a break for coffee and thought to istall xara over the old installation, before I delete the old one completely. This can I do later.
What may I say – installation went without errors and all works as expected. The export to WebP is a very neat thing for web developers or to save file size.
Against thank you Rob.
@Garry: just try it – it works for me.
