What if we are already logged in/on?
Ron - You're logged in. I think this thread is aimed at lurkers who visit but never participate.
If I log-out then log-in again I get the default vBulletin skin. Is this what you're referring to Acorn?
I haven't a clue to what my fellow moderator is up to, Ron.Quote:
Since you have a take on what George was looking for, perhaps it could have been stated more clearly.
Same as Egg in #5
What you up to Acorn?

There are currently 316 users online. 3 members and 313 guests.
I guess acorn wants to see who some of the 99% guests are?
when I come here, I'm always logged in. So, in essence, I am NEVER lurking. <<<<too lazy to lurk. But I DID refresh the page anyway. Nothing happened on my end.
Acorn? Have you gone walNUTS?! ;)
So 24 hours later:
- 33 TGers who were logged in access the Thread.
- 2 of these logged-in viewers have chosen to hide their credentials when visiting.
- 1 named viewer was a Xara staff member.
- There were 185 visits, a viewer can visit many times so unless we all chose to revisit six times, the captive audience was small to a bit more than small.
- There are currently 294 users online. 5 members and 289 guests.
- Few, other than Egg, noticed there was a difference, logged in or out.
- All, I think, missed that there is a Members who have read this thread accordion available when logged in.
- Logging in is important as otherwise you might miss a Survey.
- It wasn't an exercise in social engineering but I could have said give me your TG Password and some would.
- Few read all the words before engaging.
- Despite not asking for any Replies, the Thread gained nine.
- I am not walNUTS, just A-corn-y chap.
Potentially, to maximise future engagements, we should include a Post a Poll with Yes/No options.
Acorn
is that for everyone.. or just mods?
edit - keith said that doh
In the past always used to login and actively participated, but by now became enough demoralized with this company and just not feeling anything (started from love).
Sometime used to come to see whether they already shut down the forum, or checking what is in the new version. But it seems again nothing so this is why just lurking, why to enter password when leaving after some minutes
If it is just for Mods then I am sorely disappointed as I'll have to change the Thread title to We Mods Know You Are Out There - sadly, we don't.
I genuinely want to know that we are getting our thoughts across to a large number of Xara application users, and, Xara.
Xara doesn't seem to care any more judging by their distinct absence recently.
So the plea is simple: log in, ask or contribute.

Thanks for the clarification Acorn. I've often wondered about these large guest numbers. Could they be spiders?
The lack of Xara's inclusion is getting very worrying.
Most users ever online 10,257 does seem a bit unlikely!
They've never been particularly active at the best of times. Let's hope they are just busy working their socks off on the overdue 15.1 update.Quote:

@Acorn,
Re: "All, I think, missed that there is a Members who have read this thread accordion available when logged in."
I've looked all over the screen and don't see the "Members who have read this thread" accordion. Where, exactly is this? Or, is it something that only moderators see? I was sure that I had seen it, but it may be that I have confused it with another site/program.
I have viewed this thread at least 6 times. On my laptop and tablet, I am automatically logged in, not so on my desktop, for some reason.
Re asking for TG password, you also could have added "I'm raising funds. Please send me 5$ (£)," and provided a link to a payment site. You would have likely received some money.
