I found this free plug-in today. It has several useful features
to adjust/manipulate a bitmap. Perhaps you'll like it.

Thanks Ken!

Thanks Ken - works well :)

Thanks Ken!
And I note the Simplifier one from the same site could be used to create digital watercolours like I posted here in the Xara Gallery. Use Simplifier followed by BeyondEdger4 (default setting of 10 works well) and you'll be on your way to creating digital watercolours.
Excellent Ken !!! They work very well in Xtreme !
kindly,
ivan
thanks kman! i grabbed ALL of the filters :p
I am interested in the work being described here and would very much like to
learn much more. Ross's work with watercolours I find particularly appealing.
Having downloaded these filters how do I go about opening them and how do I then get them to a stage where I can attempt to use them with Xtreme.
To be honest I haven't a clue what a plug in is although the description would seem to imply that you can plug it in to another programme and then use it.

The AAA plugins don't need to be extracted. You just need to place them in a folder. Then run the setup in Xtreme to tell where to plugins are located. Enable host specific plugins as well. They should be available when you run the application. Rich

Thank you. I have carried out your instructions but I do not understand how to use this type of plug in. When I have a piece of work open in Xtreme how do I go about using for example the simplifier plug in.
I am afraid with someone like me patience is most definitely a virtue.
During my shredded wheat the penny finally dropped. Plug in's are in XPE

AMO, try these steps shown in the graphic below.
(I apologize about the graphic's size -- this was to
show all the steps in one picture.)

There are two sets of plugins. There are the internal and the external. AAA would be an external set. The Simplifier has a blur and sharpen slider. With the addition of XPE, this is available there as well.
I applied the plugin to an image. You just need to try things to find something that works. I tried quite a few, and removed most of them.

Thank you. I appreciate your assistance and look forward to learning a little more.
Keep up the good work. You guys are inspiration. I visit the forum daily and have gained greatly from the contributors.

The link doesn't seem to work anymore and you folks got my intrests up.
Anyone know another link where I can find these or the just the full plug-in name so I can search it. "AAA" brings up alot of junk in google.
Thanks,
~Liam~
Let me know which ones you want and I'll send them over.
Dave
Thanks Dave.
Not sure which I want, I've never seen em before. Was hoping to check out the site. If anyone has a link that will get me there, it would be appreciated. Or the full name of what "AAA" stands for so I can search it.
Thanks,
~Liam~
Liam -- you can get the aaa plugins here. I've found the Simplifier one the most useful (when applied to bitmapped images).
Regards, Ross
Thanks Ross. I just grabbed that simplifier one myself.
Sorry Ross, I havn't checked this in awhile.
Thank you, buddy, for the link. :)
