How do I have a picture poring down a hole or distorting?
I used the Default Envelope in the Mould Tool (Shift+F6). If that's on the right track, play around until you have the look you're after.
Pic 1 is the Default Envelope icon. Pic 2 the result. Pic 3 the original image.

You could try setting the picture as an art brush and then making it follow a suitable line with a stroke profile to control its width along the line.
That will give more distortion than the old envelope tool.
Yup, the Art Brush is a lot better. I was heading down the 'liquid picture' route.
The linear transparency doesn't work on the art brush though.

Peter - Do you have an example for what you want to accomplish. Your description is rather vague.
Thank you for asking this question, I've had fun discovering new things to amuse me...going to bend and stretch my (adult) kids heads into various objects now, and I can blame Phil for suggesting how.

Excellent, Chris! Especially the second one.
This is fun.
That's real art, Egg!
I am in a men's shed without a treasurer, I wanted to have a picture of the shed going down the hole in other words may have to close.
I have not attached before hope this works.

This is my quick one.

How about David Copperfielding it? The supplied, original, photo is a bit low res, but you get the idea.

Acorn
Nice one, Acorn!
I understand what your getting at Peter. You’ve seen some ideas. Chris and Acorn have done a good job. You can isolate the shed and make it disappear it’s your photo tools. You can also trigger the process when the photo comes into view, or something like “click here to see what happens when you don’t have a Tres”, or something like that.
1. Your going to need two photos. One with the shed, and another where the shed has been removed. What your are going to do is place the photo with the shed, over the photo without the shed.
2. Now we have the photo with the shed, exactly over the photo without the shed. Make sure the photos are on different layers.
3. Chose the photo on top. Play with the animate features. Fade out etc, timing etc. the photo with the shed is gone, revealing the photo that does not have the shed.
Just a different approach, rather than going down a drain.

Thank you for suggestions much appreciated.
Will experiment with above.
