Xara Xone Xtras-Free Stuff from previous tutorials
I cannot believe that I bought a 1.5 TB drive last December, and I have 150 GB free on it: the Xara Xone monthly tutorials are the culprits and I'm backing them off after zipping files (AVI files compress significantly) to 25 GB optical disks.
But as I was reviewing stuff from the past 20 months, I realized that a lot of things wound up on the cutting room floor as it were, and also I've done some decent-sized graphics that some of our community might like to use in projects.
So I'm starting the Xtras thread here. Please don't upload anything here: it's only for me to offer content that might attract attention and traffic—the Big Idea is to create mindshare and interest in the Xara software.
The reason I'm not locking this thread is because: if you saw something in a tutorial you thought was cool, ask me if I have a large version. If I do, I'll post it. "User requests", sort of.

To begin: I put up a huge bitmap on YouTube that few will see in its entirety because it's device dependent. The graphic is sort of a Dystopia city with a logo in front, a close-up and a distant view version:

They're attached and please read the read me file. They're about 2500 p by 1400p, so they'll work as wallpaper and they have a lot of detail.
More later,
Enjoy!

Re: Xara Xone Xtras-Free Stuff from previous tutorials
I created a white on white camera to demonstrate something last year.
Attachment 98442
The file is 1280 by 720; the Xara Xone tutorials are entry-level 720p HD video files.
If it comes in useful for personal or commercial work, you're welcome to use it!
My Best,
Gary

I like that spring, even thought it's autumn, now!
Joking aside, I do like it.
Love the shadows and reflections.
Re: Xara Xone Xtras-Free Stuff from previous tutorials
Fantastic shadows Gary, really like this spring image, its got it all, overlapping shadows and reflections.

Not to worry Rik, It'll be spring again some time. :D
@ Gare, nice spring, I like it too.
Re: Xara Xone Xtras-Free Stuff from previous tutorials
Thanks to all for the compliments.
And realize that you probably have seen much of this work in animations from the video tutorials.
Expect more: I have absolutely no reason not to make this work public after I've used it in a tutorial.
My Best,
Gary

Thanks Gary for sharing all of this stuff with us.

I don't imagine a lot of designers have a pressing need all the time for a porcelain hand pointing, but I did one earlier this year and it's available as an attachment here.

It's in PNG file format with transparency.
Handing it all out,

Here are two seamless tiling textures I used as examples in one of last year's video tutorials:

I didn't build this model; it was part of a free market exchange program online where I donate my models and get to download other people's work.
But I did texture, pose and render it, and it was part of the video tutorial on pieces shapes together (the Polynesian ice cube tray).
I got two poses, they're PNGs with transparency, may you take lovely photos with them.

I'd rendered some T-shirts for a tutorial a while back, the PNG is 1280 by 720 pixels.

Re: Xara Xone Xtras-Free Stuff from previous tutorials
I'd done a scene transition to demonstrate how reflections can be obscured by bumpiness and how the shadows should be cast.
Attachment 99198
1280 by 720 pixels, I think. It might make interesting wallpaper.
Enjoy!

Here's another one that might make an interesting desktop wallpaper.
Attachment 99449
I forgot what I was going to use it for in a tutorial.
I'm beginning to do that more often lately.

There was an an imated sequence I never used in the Plastic and Metal rendering tutorial; these gold metal notes.

Please take good care of them, as they're some of my favorite quarter notes!

I'm sure I thought I needed a kid's plastic airplane to explain something in a tutorial.
But I forgot what.

Ron, aside from the Shade of Leonardo Davinci, I cannot think of higher and possibly undeserved praise from someone for my efforts.
Thank you, my friend.
And as a true friend, I know and accept that you have your bias.

I'm not affiliated in any way with Xara Xone as of 2015, but I'm still interested in helping my fellow artist(s). You might say I'm in the ŘZONe now.
To that end, here are a couple of tracing I've done over the past years. Some of the inspiration came from Shutterstock. And the Escher lizards does seamless tile. Color them anything you like.
