Re: FAQs/collapsible text
Pop up layers would be my recommend but there is also a scrolling text box which might work though it is not very elegant.
I am sure this has been covered but I have no idea where. Acorn is pretty good at running these things down.

Re: FAQs/collapsible text
Thanks there's another thread at https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthr...AQ)&highlight= but the popup text thing is tricky across variants and I was wondeing if there is a simpler way to handle this within Xara.

Re: FAQs/collapsible text
I think it was okay across two variants but not more.
I attach another accordion that Siran created a while back which closes previously opened tabs on opening a new one.

Re: FAQs/collapsible text
I offered up this a time back: Attachment 122288. The source is http://accordionslider.com/.
Attachment 122289 is a pure Xara approach that is simple in concept but need careful sequencing to minimise effort.

Thanks Gary, Egg and Acorn,
I ideally want to contract a paragraph without opening another and to also expand/contract whole sections (not just individual questions)...

yjs, the TDH approach allows any combination of opening & closing layers. You can create further links as well.
Enjoy.

Thanks, I'll give it a try
Re: FAQs/collapsible text
This will help. It is dynamic and Responsive and you can work from the back end.

Thanks I had ideally wanted something native to Xara

yjs, until we have a concrete and detailed example of your need, it i difficult to visualise a solution.
Had you explained upfront what you have just added, I might have suggested a simple collection of buttons acting a a horizontal tab accordion in stead of the TDH vertical accordion.
Here is another demonstration: Attachment 122296.
Both TDH and XPU are native Xara.

Re: FAQs/collapsible text
Acorn, sorry I wasn't clear. My response above about wanting native Xara implementation. was to Edgemu, who had suggested PHP scripts, which I also have access to - but I had wanted something native to Xara that I could adapt easily within Xara for a desktop and mobile version.
My needs are actually very simple: a FAQ made up of several sections with the facility to toggle the hiding of both entire sections and answers to specific questions. As I mentioned I'm trying the TDH which looks promising. I will also look at Prometheus Unbound - thanks.
Re: FAQs/collapsible text
My input is if you ever use a code/placeholder, then only use it for one variant, you can not use it for both Main and a variant, I had to use a different script for the mobile variant.
