Knife Illustrations, Logos, and Maker's Marks
I have recently been illustrating custom knives, designing logos, Maker's Marks, and T-shirts for some top notch Knife makers, all with Xara Xtreme Pro 5.
This is my tribute to Mr. Bill Coye's work. The knife is his Oscar Mike model.

This is a logo & Maker's Mark for Steven Janik of Janik Knives.

Anyone else doing anything along these lines?
Feedback?
Re: Knife Illustrations, Logos, and Maker's Marks
The illustrations look pretty good but it’s hard to know what use people put implements like that too.
There’s a bit of a knife crime problem in this country among the gormless and indolent so the manufacture, sale or purchase of anything more dangerous than a butter knife is looked on with a bit of suspicion as to why it’s required, as they are treated not only as weapons but rather stupid fashion accessories.

Nice looking knives. It looks like these are custom made knives for hunting, camping, sport, collecting, etc.....
Re: Knife Illustrations, Logos, and Maker's Marks
The Oscar Mike is used by SWAT members, Sheriff's Deputies, and troops in Afghanistan.
Please do not turn this thread political.
If you want to discuss knives, rather than knife illustrations, I'd recommend going to www.JerzeeDevil.com and www.KnifeDogs.com. Both are knife forums and I am a member of each.

I like the illustrations. Clean design. Your technique works well to give the impression of a keen edge for the blade and thickness in the areas for strength.

Re: Knife Illustrations, Logos, and Maker's Marks
I'm used to posting images with Photobucket. I think that is how we used to do it here. Anyway, I apologize for having them up incorrectly. Here are two properly posted. The first is Coye Knives. The Second is a design for Curtiss Knives.
Thanks for the kind words.
