Convert Thumbnail Square Corners To Round?
I have a website with many thumbnails: each is a rectangle with square corners, bitmap fill, and a shadow. Is there a way to easily round the corners without making each one over again? I can't seem to find a way without remaking all of them.
Thanks!
Jim

Select with the Rectangle Tool and click the rounded corners button on the info bar :)

When I do that, none of the options are available. Plus, there is no "Curvature" option in the list.

The curvature button doesn't appear to be depressed in your image Jim

Sorry, I updated the attachment to show that it is. Same problem.
Re: Convert Thumbnail Square Corners To Round?
when you select one of the objects, does it say rectangle or shape on the lower left corner of Xara?... if it says shape, the rounded corner option won't have any effect... it only works on rectangles.
Re: Convert Thumbnail Square Corners To Round?
It says "1 clipped photo". What did I do wrong? I took this from one of the supplied templates. I'm guessing it's not really a rectangle at all.
Re: Convert Thumbnail Square Corners To Round?
clipped photos are "cropped" photos and although they're rectangular in shape visually, they're not rectangles as Xara defines it. You would need to draw a rectangle with the rectangle tool, and use a bitmap fill- then you can round the corners with the button on the tool bar.

Re: Convert Thumbnail Square Corners To Round?
Glenn,
Thanks. I've attached another screenshot of a different thumbnail which I also copied from a template. This one is editable but also says "1 Clipped photo" with the .jpg name after it. No mention of a rectangle. Any idea what the difference might be?
Re: Convert Thumbnail Square Corners To Round?
Resized photos for thumbnails are not rectangles which can be given rounded corners like the rectangle tool can.
You will have to draw a rectangle of the same size, round the corners, set behind the thumbnail and use 'Clipview'. Note that any editing you do to a photo thumbnail is reflected in the built-in popup, unless you make your own popups things like a rounded clipview, drop shadows etc will show in the large version too.
