Wordpix
The challenge is to design examples of an imaginary new game from Xara/Magix to go on a software box.
The idea of the game, and your challenge, is to use any font and tool in the Xara armoury and make
a picture containing the letters of the word.
You can distort the letters to suit the graphic you are trying to represent.
Ideal for children, this would be educational, artistic and entertaining.
Perhaps this could even be incorporated on Xara.com in the form of a monthly contest?
Saludos,
Bob.

Re: Wordpix
You may embellish the picture with suitable elements,
you aren't limited to just text. (A bit logo-ish, this one)

Re: Wordpix
I first saw this yesterday evening, and I thought to myself "John, you've lost it bigtime". Today I see that there is actually text there, and it spells "aardvark". I was expecting "anteater" for some reason! Certainly entertaining. :)
Here's another, I was deliberately trying to avoid just animals.

Re: Wordpix
Got so excited I'd actually had an idea I got carried away (there's an obvious joke there but I won't!). Great insult to aardvarks implying they're mere eaters of ants, y'know :D
Like the pear:)

Re: Wordpix
Much easier to make out on the white background, John.
No insult to aardvarks intended.
Back to the animal theme again.

Re: Wordpix
Thing is, you make it look effortless:) Andalucia and Stretford affect the little grey cells in different ways ....

Re: Wordpix
That's clever, John, I like the texture on the text. I couldn't work out for a while which letter to start reading from. The first thing I saw was "Clear" and I couldn't see anything else for a while. At least I shan't go to bed thinking about it like last night.
This one isn't so easy to read either.

Bob.

Re: Wordpix
HA! Like it :D I did read it as 'chainlick' at first but I realised that was probably not the answer.
Thanks for encouraging words .... needed a rectangle for the effect to show up tho :)
The attachment box below is empty - in sympathy with my head at the moment - but don't close the thread yet!
