Parahandy!
Norman, I miss the deluge of drawings that you have produced in past months and I often think about you on my travels through the talkgraphics forums, so I hope that one day, health permitting, that we'll see a few more.
If ever you do feel that bit better, I'm going to give you a non-paying commission - the VW camper van from the series 'lost'. Actually, it could be any camper van!
I've struggled to find an image of the one in the series, but it's pretty much like this one: http://york.gumtree.com/york/73/23832273.html.
No obligation to do it. No obligation to make any drawing. When you're well enough, we'd love to see something from you (camper or anything else).
I really do hope you've been able to enjoy some of that sunshine that Scotland stole from the south in the last couple of weeks. We've had your rain and will be sending it back!
Take care Norman. We're rooting for you.

Re: Parahandy!
Paul, if you want a FANTASTIC drawing of a VW you couldn't get any better than Big Franks drawing. Unfortunately Franks not been around for ages so I doubt you could contact him but here are 2 links to his VW drawings (There all vector!)

Re: Parahandy!
Franks illustrations are great, but they don't have Normans magic touch.

Re: Parahandy!
I'm sticking this thread Paul because I'd love to hear more about the enjoyment and inspiration other members have got from seeing Normans continued improvement with Xara Xtreme over such a relatively short time.
Constantly producing so many great renditions of old (and some new) cars, boats, planes and a few trains over the last few years (he joined TG on 7th January 2004) which have drawn many positive comments from regular members which I'm sure encouraged his proliferation and continued development of his own style.
Here's one of (many) favourite drawings of Normans.
The subtle reflections on the doors and fender caught my eye.

Re: Parahandy!
Norman's use of reflections give his drawings a distinct style with photo qualities. One of my favorite is his "Silver Ghost"

Re: Parahandy!
I would say, Normans early works are also impressive. My favourite:

Re: Parahandy!
Ah! but to be a real Parahandy painting it has to have the man himself in it (at least once, but twice is even better).
