Would love to see the file. I'm not sure about how you manipulate the shapes so perfectly with text tools...
It was a case of fine adjustment using the extrusion and positioning tools, I'm not a liverpool fan but it's a nice badge anyway.
The file is a bit large (315kb)
Any want me do another clubs badge?????
Paul
I downloaded your example of the badge-and in xara3d's simple editor tried to disassociate all the sub components and parts-that alone as a task was too much for the editor.
Either using the text editor (black stuck together blobs) or the visual editor (off the screen)-I'm stumped.
I suspect you assembled it elsewhere with associated tools (love to know how!)
Thanks
I Like It.
As I am a Liverpool Fan, I would happily look
at other badges you have done except for the
dreaded club from Manchester. (No, not City).
The only external program used was flash:eek: , this was used to export each part as a *.wmf (meta file).
What i will do is i'll put together a tutorial of how it was done, you will be surprised how easy it is.
And heres my latest example. An Aston Villa badge (My club)
Opps image didint upload.............
I tried to create something similar to your work, using exported wmf files from a CorelDraw crest. Getting them into X3D was no problem, but when trying to line them up with the text keys, (am I correct in thinking you use F5,F6,F7,F8)it gets very confusing keeping track where the insertion marker is and what function you need to move the text you want to move. Also, it seems that the object you want to move up or down needs to be hightlighted first, but to kern it, it doesn't. There has to be an easier way.
Thanks,

When you import each file press the 'show cursor button' on the tool bar then hit 'enter' (make sure alignment is set to centre) now import the next file. Go into the text options then highlight from there, use the baseline shift option to move the two images together.
Whilst the section your adjusting is still highlighted change its colour, extrusion, beval etc...
I'm doing the tutorial at the moment so with any luck it should help.
