Interesting work posted so far...
Here is a screen grab of the pro bono job I'm currently working on. It's a mural for a local primary school. I had a specific area of wall that needed covering... a very long wall. This gave me a lot of lay out problems until I hit on the idea of doing a comic strip type of layout.
This is definetely an "in progress" picture. Several of the colored figures (mainly the secondary figures) will be modified and the final frame is only roughly sketched out (so roughly that you might not be able to see what's going on, though it's enough for me to work from) The color strip below is just the color swatches for the paint that will be needed.
The mural will start going up in about a weeks time, taking who knows how long to finish. I seem to consistently get myself in trouble by taking on these sorts of projects and then making them 10x more complicated than required and this one is no exception. ah well, live and (eventually) learn.
Joe,
Nice style...they are definately getting more than their money's worth... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
It makes me want to go play!
Color Swatches...don't forget the white.

You need to read a book by a british Author Called "Leaf by Ningle". One of his other books just won an oscar or two... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

THANK GOD for Mozilla and it's ability to block images so I could get this darned page to load faster.
One thing I HATE about the new forum software is that you can't post a reply untill the entire page is loaded, images and all!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/mad.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/mad.gif
Anyway, here is the first in a L O N G time. I was playing around today and it got out of hand, of course... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
I call it "Space Being". The body looks kinda chintsy, I am only just beginning to work on it, the over all look is really only just begun and hopfully I will stay interested in it long enough to finish it. So far I like it so that's an incentive! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Don't be too hard on me, as I said it's only about 1/3rd done, give me 2/3rd's more and it will look really cool, I hope! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
