Re: May 2013 Tips and Tricks: Making a Striking Coffee Table Book Cover
Thanks, all.
I'm just seeing how the pain killers are holding up this morning for the first time at my PC in a week.

I'm sure it was the thought of being able to get back on the PC, that kept you going!

Glad your feeling a touch better Gary and still got your sense of humour :D Was going to send you a Rolling Stones Album to cheer you up but thought better of it ;))
Best regards

If it was "The Best of...", I wouldn't mind, Stygg.
If it were "Let it Bleed", you'd suddenly find yourself locked out of tg, and receiving hundred of thousands of Canadian Pharmacy adverts.
;)
Still have computer skills mostly intact, but can't maintain Concentration (or Jeopardy, or the New Price is Right) for more than a few hours at a time.

I've been following this thread and working on it too,or so I thought but, somehow I missed something, because I didn't know you were ailing. Glad you are better (I hope.).

Gare I have been struggling with this one. I don't know how many times I have done it over and it's still not right. I ended up following the tutorial and doing my own thing, but I'll post what I have anyway.

I think what you finally came up with is fine, Larry. The tutorial covered two things in a composition: making lettering that looks as though it bumps on a natural surface, and how to simulate gold foil, both of which you did.
May's video tutorial cannot apply to all graphics...the best results are usually done with bold text and clearly defined graphics geometry.
Hey, every month is a new challenge. If you won them all, Larry, you'd get bored!
My Best,
Gary
