Point taken
And that is how you can find 19 items in less than 3 minutes. Most of the 3 minutes was used to position and size the red circles. I wasn't cheating (honest), just using the power of Xara Xtreme and a bit of ingenuity! I'm surprised it took this long for someone else to figure it out. Good job, Egg!
Now that the 'cat is out of the bag', I'm off to finish up a few projects.
Cheers,
Harry
Harry, I could have done that from the start ... it's fairly obvious ... but I'd rather get into the spirit of the thing. Steve took a long time doing the things and figuring out a tough layout. If the challenge was to find out the easiest ways of shortcutting to the answer then cloning & transparency would have been valid, but the idea was to test out how effective Xara's capability to do such a thing is. That's also why I didn't post the first ones directly on the forum ... let other people have a go. And I defended you from Speleologists!:D
John, even using the varied transparency overlay technique to expose the altered items, that street scene of Steve's about did me and my eyes in. I almost had to give up and admit defeat on the last couple of missing items. Even 'cheating', I had to zoom in close and go over the picture, section by section, several times. Steve gets my compliments and much deserved respect for the job he did altering that photo. Plus, I only posted solutions to two of Steve's missing object challenges in order to give others a chance to figure out the latest puzzles.
And... you can continue to defend me if you want. I'm still getting a laugh each time I recall your comment in the other thread. :D
Thanks,
Harry
Fair enough :) I think we can agree then, Xara Xtreme does a pretty good job at area cloning [or whatever the term might be] ... especially if one has a SledgerLE plug-in ;))
I am amazed how easy that you guys make complex object removal look. I watched the video and it took a while for me to pick up on the concept. Even after understanding the concept, I found it difficult to find other areas to substitute. I am practicing removing objects from the original photos. When I hone my skills, maybe I too will be able to challenge you.:D
Keep up the great work!
Here is one that I've done. Slow day at work today...
Eric
16 ... I think! Like Steve's, it's hard to tell if the image has been changed unless one studies and compares them specifically :)
Didn't know which was the original so both added and missing bits are in red ... as you can see! :D
