This is called "Unfinity" in theory, I wouldn't know when to stop but when I did stop, it would still be unfinished...wouldn't it?!
(This has been given a "frame" by the TG system, but my version has none).

A lovely image Francis and very well crafted indeed, the gold colour with highlights is excellent.

Yes they are, and I'm kicking myself for thinking of exactly that and then forgetting it!
You drew it better than I ever would of anyhow!

P.S. Paul, that's a generous gift to Rik, and I think you even copied his infamous "glass button logo" to perfection. :)

Oh, Bob, I see you found the secret upgrade to the Enhanced version of Xara, build ten point pi.
The problem with doing infinite drawings for me has always been the rulers, you know? But not with the upgrade...

Paul, you know, I can get to meet only so many new people online before I don't get any work done, but you, man...I just looked at your repost of work and I'm totally in awe of you, Paul, sincerely. Your extrudes are wonderful, but the other objects you nail, totally, 360, pal.
Please do something with my three piece inspired use of Conical fills!

Very nice Francis. I like the idea of using the wedding rings. Very elegant You did a very nice job putting it together. I have put together a few ring projects in my day, but they did not turn out as nice as yours. I guess you were the one for the job. it's nice to see you and all the gang from the past. I missed spending time with you guys and gals here on TG.

Re: First-Ever Organzied Chaotic Free-For-All Competition/Collaboration
Thanks everyone! I had the wedding rings already from a past tutorial on gold rings but it did take some effort and some time with the eraser tool to blend copies together to form the infinity symbol.
Paul, we are glad to have you back here at TG!

I hope you don't mine me saying this, but, I love the way you've done 'INFINITY RULES'.
Reminds me of the Dymo Tape machine, that was all the rage when it came out, I think it was in the 70s.

I've still got one of those Rik my kids used it for labeling their school exercise books way back in the mad hairdo's, clownish clothing and terrible decorating colours and wallpaper designs, everthing seemed to be brown with light beige but some music was good! Apart from boring you with all that :D I had ago at re-colouring Gary's Metallic silver Infinity symbol, I attempted a gold fill after seeing the lovely image by Francis of the gold rings and another image of Infinity-Fin-End, well you never know do you  I based the background for Fin on Star Trek The Next Generation, where Q kept putting a chain mail fence in front of the "Enterprise" so you can say Infinity ended there for them :D Sorry guys and gals I'm babelling on here.

Very nicely done stygg2003. I like the gold effect that you applied. I was working on the same thing. I guess great minds do think alike it. I think yours is a winner.

Paul I like both your images on your space odyssey theme but the latest one, for me, is the winner, that is really cool.

Thank you stygg2003. I like this one better also. I'm not to happy with the rainbow though. I will have to rework this piece at a later date. I think it looks cool. its worth spending some time on. This thread moves to fast to be able to put any time into one thought. If
you procrastinate at all, You end up posting 15 pages later and your post doesn't make any sense.

I really like this.
However, what keeps catching my attention is the coloured part inside the prism.
I'm not saying that it's wrong, but, because it keeps reminding me of 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' album, that didn't have any colour inside the prism.
And, I'm not sure why you don't like the rainbow?
I wouldn't change that at all.

Nice on, Rik. Now, and you do a Mobius strip with two bicylists (or unicylists like in The Prisoner), one on top one on the bottom for symmetry's sake?
T'would be way kewl.

Hay Rik, I guess great minds do think alike. I thought of, "To infinity and beyond" a few days ago when I started in on this one. For me, buzz light year is the icon for infinity and beyond. I cheated a bit by using the bitmap trace for the face. When I seen your post today, I decided I had to finish it. Sometimes when I get started on a project, it can become overwhelming. this was one of them. Perseverance paid off. Thanks for the push.

Re: First-Ever Organzied Chaotic Free-For-All Competition/Collaboration
Nice one, Paul. That looks so great. I've never used the bitmap trace. So, that's one thing I could learn, I suppose?!
I just get the Shape Tool, and set about whatever I'm trying to draw.
The idea for mine is that the laser from the observatory is pointing out into space, and going on for ever - pointing to 'infinity'.
So, trying to represent the topic "Infinity".
And I couldn't resist the tag line, 'To Infinity And Beyond'. Seemed to fit the drawing and the topic.

Re: First-Ever Organzied Chaotic Free-For-All Competition/Collaboration

Thank you Rik. Cartooning is not my forte and it would have taken me a bit of time to get the face down. This thread moves to fast for that. :) The bitmap trace works in a pinch.
I understood your drawing. Very well done. I like your work. It's very clean and crisp. I just thought it was interesting seeing that phrase when I had a project in the hoppers along the same lines as your tag.
