Is it safe to update yet ...... not heard a thing from dev team
Mike
Well, the update version won't have changed if there's been no announcement that it has.
I think it's unlikely they would make an update for a single bug reported by just one person. Much more likely that the next update fixes multiple bugs - as many as possible.
bb2 did say what had been tried to avert the problem, so I guess that provided you repeat those steps, the update will then be fine.
I understand what you mean But the file BB2 sent back to me was worse than the one I posted ...... its not worked at all.
Mike
I think that might have been useful feedback two weeks ago!
I guess you'll need to forgo the upgrade for a while yet.
Sorry Paul I just gave up on it ...... its working as it is and they are not to bothered about one bug as you say .... and will wait till the new update .
Oh I did see someone else has the same problem.... so there is 2 of us now ...... might carry more weight..... Lol :D
Mike
The good thing is that besides not being able to update the software, you can do everything you need to do without the update. In that sense, it doesn't really matter!
Hopefully the next revision will have you back on track again.
I have updated again and they have done nothing to address my problem.
complete waste of my time

Mike, this update is really an emergency fix for the FTP issue. They didn't ever promise there was a fix for this issue in this update.
You're in the UK, why not ring them up and see how the land lies?
Xara guys - is it really asking too much to properly engage with Mike and discuss the issue, even if you have no immediate plans to fix it?
Thanks Paul.... just so frustrating..... I did check what the update was for but just said "includes several other minor bug-fixes and improvements"
so I just assumed it would fix this minor bug.... but to me its a major problem when I try to update.
Mike
It's frustrating, but in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing.
Stick with the original release and Internet explorer 10 and you can be happy.
If Xara aren't going to fix this I wish they'd just say so, so you know where the land lies.
