thanks guys, each one takes less than a day, but i space it out
they are TOTALLY Xara Xtreme - nothing else
i simply place the object on my desk and draw away
those yellow handles were driving me nuts - i still didn't get it right - but i said, that's enough of those
hahahahahahahahhahahahaha
Here's a very old wooden box that I found in some of my dad's stuff after he died. The brass (or whatever) inset is missing on the top. I do not know what was there or if it even had printing on it.
My next upload will be the open box, and what is inside it.
A quick guess Bob................. Taps and dies. BA thread?
Hi Bob,
Is the wood stained that dark? Difficult to see on my monitor.
Your drawing if very good, especially the 'catches' to hold the lid closed. The perspective is a little disconcerting. Hope you don't mind, I lightened it a bit to see the wood grain and attempted to adjust the perspective of the raster image.
I found the missing brass insert if you want it, like Bill I hope you don't mind the liberty.
P.S. I made the insert from my brass neck. ha ha
Here's my attempt with a little help from Xara3D.

hahahahaha to all of you guys
first off, yes, the wood (OLD) is actually that dark, if not darker
secondly, thanks for the brass off your neck, parahandy
the perspective? well? who knows, my eyes are seeing it the way i have it...but now that i look at my pic compared to yours, yes, yours is much better perspectively (if that is a word)
thirdly, there's only one guess as to what might be inside
and that guess is incorrect
no prize for you...
hahahahahahahaha
[as a matter of fact, i don't even know what a BA thread is, i can only conceive that it is some type of fabric made from a sheep... hahahahaha]
P.S. Is using 3D fair????????? hahahahaha
i'm trying in all my drawings to make them APPEAR to be 3D without the use of any 3D software
Bob
I had no intention of cheating, it's just that Xara3D is an excellent tool for giving a start on perspective when doing a drawing in XaraX.Quote:

If your base is horizontal, I think it would be impossible to have the perspective that you've drawn.
Egg
oh please don't take offense, i was totally only joking around
please...
