Re: A bit more icons made in Xtreme
I think marshmallows are technically mostly sugar. Maybe someone will wiki them and give a link. I am too lazy.
There is a variation of roasted marshmallows called s'mores. You place the roasted marshmallow between two graham crackers along with a piece of a hersey chocalate bar (thin milk chocolate bar) the hot gooey marshmallow melts the chocolate and softens the graham cracker. Makes a delious treat that a 10 year can take pride in creating.
by the time one reaches adulthood that much sugar is revolting to most, but as a 10 year old, any sugar rush is great fun.

Re: A bit more icons made in Xtreme
We are on topic. We are talking about his icons of when he was a kid and camping. I can't think of camping without marshmallows, so this is on topic. What did you get to roast over the campfire when you where a kid?

Re: A bit more icons made in Xtreme
The traditional method for making desktop icons from Xara has been to export as BMP and then rename the file to be a .ICO file. I need to make a transparent icon but BMP does not work for this. Trying the same trick by exporting as PNG and renaming does not work. Any clues? Is it possible?! Thanks.
Re: A bit more icons made in Xtreme
The most wonderful icon tool I've ever see is here (http://www.axialis.com).
It has photoshop plugin to transfer images with alfa channel, and maybe it will work with Xara.
You can produce icons in seconds with this program. I suggest to try it at least.
Re: A bit more icons made in Xtreme
I use a freeware Icon editor - http://icofx.ro/
Re: A bit more icons made in Xtreme
Thanks Sculptex! Axialis looks good but for a one-off project IcoFx worked a treat. To get the transparency, the easiest option was to export from Xtreme as a PNG and then import that image into IcoFx. Thanks.
