Thanks for that.
I tried also clicking that link direct from my earlier post but all I get is a message "Done" in the task bar with a small square at the top left of the browser page. Nothing further develops.
I am not using a download manager.

How about right clicking the link and choosing "save target as"?

I have tried that as well.
I have just tried it again ; clicking the "here" button link starts a download which stops after 1 sec with a download of a XaraXtreme DL.exe file of 374kb.

Which browser are you using ? Perhaps is that the problem. I use Mozilla 1.7.12 and all works fine for me.
kindly,

He posted earlier that he is using IE6, and so am I so, whilst it may be a browser setting, it's not the browser per se.Quote:

I cannot even guess why I am unable to obtain a download with my I/Explore 6; I have even restored the default settings in case something had been inadvertently set that prevented a download.
I have used I/Explorer to download other files just before, in between, and after, my many unsuccessful attempts to download XaraXtreme over the past two days.
Thanks to all for their help.

Harry, I'm glad you were able to get the download.
It is very strange that Opera was the only browser that worked. I'm beginning to think that it may be the settings on the server. In the past there were some problems downloading and if memory serves me it was due to throtteling on the server. Perhaps Antony will pop in and let us know for sure.
I downloaded the latest version with no problems. Disappointed to see it still doesn't remember the size of docked galleries except the layer gallery. I'd love to be able to have layer / font and fill galleries docked and at a sensible width when the application was opened. I thought this was fixed? I was also hoping that CMYK preview would be reinstated but that may be gone forever meaning that X1 remains the version of choice.

Downloaded latest dl version and can place bars and gallerys anywhere across two monters, anywhere on the page, around the edges, anywhere you like, shut down and open, all there where they were put.
Early downloads had this problem and I posted to the same and they (Xara team) seem to have fixed it.
Try another download, only a thought.
