I find that a slightly weird statement. Xara is, and has been for many years, the one and only place I have ever needed to go for any non-animated vector work. On top of that, it is also where I do more than 50% of those other things that I would once have done in Photoshop. And THAT is what makes it so useful - I no longer have to break things down into vector/raster work. Xara provides the perfect blend of both things in one place. Now its all just "work" and I do 90% or more of it in Xara.
Sure, there are things that it could possibly do better but I can do anything I like with the current toolset and, as coxover said, Xara's workflow is addictive.
