Another wallpaperless screen, 1152x864 resolution with a twin-deck taskbar and keyboard shortcuts for loading most apps. A tidy desktop is something to aspire to, but it rarely happens. When icons start falling off the right hand edge, it's usually time to do some cleaning.

As for desktop wallpapers, do you know,
that they can be animated GIFs?
Try to set following ani-gif (made with XARA)
as your wallpaper image.
Active Desktop should be ON.

I hate myself, but I have to ask the question.
How do I put one of my Xara images onto my desktop? I did it once before, but it was fuzzy and terrible.
Since I'm embarrassing myself, I'll continue...
how did you post your screens?
with head down with shame and embarrassment, tim

Hello Tim,
Size your Xara image to the size you want it...either your desktop resolution, to fill the whole screen, or smaller if you want to center or tile it, then save it as a .bmp file in your windows folder. You can now pick it as your background by right clicking on the desktop and selecting Properties, and then desktop and it will be one of your choices.
You can do a screen capture of your desktop by pressing the PrtScn button on your keyboard, while the desktop is visible. This will place it your clipboard. It can then be pasted in your image editing program to be resized and saved to place as an attachment in your reply. You can also do a screen capture with a variety of software.

Hi Tim,
Please remember to save your screen capture as a .gif or a .jpg. If you try to post a full size .bmp the software here will kick it out. The largest file you can save is here is 300k. the largest size picture should be about 800 pixels across. (Not all of us have 33" monitors)
I know I tried to send up a 1.44m .jpg today and the software just laughed at me. Most browsers do not display .bmp's as far as I know.

When saved as a jpg to post at about 500-600 pixels, I would try to keep it under 50 kb, and preferably around 30-35 kb...depending on the image it should still look fine.
