Terrific drawing Bruce. It will be great seeing it in color.
Thanks Bill
A waste of time ? Some of my favorite movies are the Marvel Comics movies.
I saw Spiderman 3 not too long ago. The Fantastic 4 with the Silver surfer just came out, haven't seen that one yet. Last weekend I rented the Ghost Rider, that was a good movie too! Of course don't forget the Daredevil, X Men & The Incredible Hulk Movies. Did I miss any? I collected all of these comics when I was younger, and I still have most of them in the closet. ;)

Ren,
Looks like a late 50's, early 60's model from the hair style. Where do you take it from here? Very nice rendering by the way.

Re: Stop & Post July 2007
Thanks Steve, I appreciated you showed me how to draw hairs the other day. The attached image was inspired by you.
Ron, the original picture I used in the sketch was taken from a book, in which I found the lovely hair curves. The hair style was perfect for practicing drawing tablet. It took a long time for me to overcome both the drawing tablet and the techniques of hand drawing. The sketch was done in Xtreme Professional 3.22 by Art pen with Wacom drawing tablet (Intuos 3, 4x6 inch).

This started as a white cloud in a blue sky. I made it grayscale and inverted it. Then drew objects and adjusted the transparency profile for each object.
Just curious how this would work.

I'm still fascinated with using the blend tool for 3D construction.
This glass and bottle piece is 100% blend. It was harder to do than I thought, especially with the transparencies and inside details.

Just to let y'all know I'm still alive.
Not been doing much at all with drawing an' stuff - too many other things happenning.
Dipped into my WIP folder - this is still very much a work in progress.
One of those "I wish I'd never started" projects ...
P.S. Is the latest Xara software being shipped yet, anyone know?
